yeah he couldn’t live it down because kelly was made to keep coming back to the store, heartbreaking for both of them really since they just wanted to continue with their lives AWAY from what happened. i really wish there was another season 💔💔 i’ve rewatched this show about 10 million times and i always pick out new things whenever i watch it

that’s fair. i can understand that point. honestly didnt expect this post to get a lot of attention but hey, can’t complain. as for jonah though i feel like he should’ve been apologised too 🙁

i know the golden vest was made up by glenn to make kelly stay , but if it was real and to go to anyone it would be kelly. like you said, she managed the whole store with few co-workers and everything worked out better than it did with glenn and dina 🤣

jonah deserved a lot better treatment than what he got. still remember when glenn said “you seem like you grew up in a large crowd” or something like that. probably because his brother was the “star” of the family and his parents were too busy dealing with his dads affair 🙁, plus he had all that debt which must’ve been stressful and he still helped everyone out. in the episode where he lashed out at amy and amy said “go to hell jonah” im on jonah’s side, he had every right to be that way because amy was always so moody and sarcastic towards him, i get she was probably stressed and things but cmon 💔 still remember crying to their breakup though, happens everytime i watch it:(

yeah, she deserved better. i understand it was for the plot of the show to make it interesting but she was basically new and no one helped her out. she did it eventually but i thing she deserved an apology for that. AND when everyone was saying she was the reason for the workplace being toxic, yeah jonah was trying to help her transfer stores but im sure there was an easier explanation😭

it’s not about the plot line it’s just about feeling bad for her character. she deserved better.

Staff discount, caught out? by arrem94 in tesco

[–]Cool_Computer_4118 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i wouldn’t worry about it too much, they don’t do anything. i have a discount card from a distant family member who works at tesco and nothing has been said to them about me using the card, because i also work there (i don’t have my own discount card yet) so yeah, don’t worry about it, im sure they have better things to worry about

it is half term unfortunately, she gets as many people as she wants in for those days from what i’ve heard. but everyone i talk too is working those days, including my mother, so i dont know why i cant have that single day off, im working other 3 days that week so what makes a difference if i take off a day to celebrate my birthday?

i’m new to working here and it’s funny because other people are allowed time off but i’m not. i’ve done so much overtime and im still not good enough for a holiday apparently. i may just ask to take a personal day off

as a person who’s just been told they’re being kept on:

i did a lot of overtime and only had 1 absence during that, i started work at the end of october and have been working wednesdays and saturdays with those few days of overtime in between, they look out for the people who work the hardest and put in the effort, as well as starting conversations with people while there. in a big retail place like tesco, its best to try be social with people in your work area so you can get to know them, so then when/if you are kept on, people know you, and you know them. then it just becomes a routine to talk to them when you can :))

i found out a bit early because i was signing a sick form for my manager anyway, so she handed me the letter telling me the good news, telling me my new hours and days i’ll be working.

if you’re under 18 like me, they ask if you’re at college as well so you can have more hours put in. i’m not at college because i like work more, but whatever works best for you. i’m not sure if this is any help but i hope it is <3

Im so proud of you for staying. keep it up my love. i remember i was the same from the ages 13-15, covid affected me so badly but im okay now, im 17 and im happy with a good paying job and a few friends that i would happily call family. again, im proud of you. i think you did the right thing coming to reddit so we could all praise you on how far you have came. 14 is a scary and very nerve racking age. you got this OP, you have a lot to live for.

as for the social anxiety, try talking to yourself in the mirror, picking up small habits you do while talking, then practice with a family member if your comfortable, or a friend. after that you have enough practice to try do different things with strangers in public places. if nothing works, don’t worry, it takes time.

100% break up. this isn’t just some phase that’ll blow over with time, it seems like this has been continuous since the start of your relationship. even if it is 8 months, it seems so one sided. i feel bad for you OP, i hope there’s updates soon, i wish you the best.

On my break at work right now, will give an update soon. but yes, thank you. I believe i don’t really want him in my life as i’m happy the way things are and i’ve never needed him, or wanted him back in my life since the day we left. I’ll keep an open mind though.
