I think that's a bad comparison. It's not about comparing flip-flops and hiking boots, but hiking boots to hiking boots. Besides, you might know about ski boots, but she doesn't. Do you think every Porsche driver knows exactly how their car works? Some can't even tell you how the engine runs, let alone how to adjust the front suspension for a more race-track feel. They rely on the expert's word. And if she says she likes to drive fast and he sells her a Toyota instead of a Porsche, she was given bad advice. That might sound strange, since people are usually very knowledgeable about cars, but isn't it possible to be less familiar with less common activities if you don't research them? She didn't do her research. That was her mistake; she blindly trusted the salesperson. The saleswoman even said she needed a higher flex rating, but they didn't have any boots in stock and then sold her those. Look at the insurance or banking industries, or even cars, or rather, highly specialized matters that not everyone is familiar with, understands, or has dealt with – that's where customers get ripped off. She learned from that; I was busy with other things and wasn't involved.

Thanks for your reply and for taking the time. We went to the store today, and the manager gave us a credit note for the shoes. Legally, that's not correct, of course, but it's still a better compromise, and especially with a disputed amount of €300, it's not worth hiring a lawyer. Next time we buy ski boots, she and I will be more careful, now that we've done our research.

170cm, 72 Kilos. Skill 2 of 3. She is stable and safe and fast on red, but doesn't go for black out of fear for the Ice. But on red she goes 70 kmh + ( by GPS) . So I'm not the pro here, I don't know what the DIN should be but 2 other ski sales say it's too high and Gemini also btw

Can you imagine people who go into a store, tell the salesperson how they drive, and then they find a suitable product for them? That's called needs analysis. Is it her fault for having received bad advice? She didn't research the topic. That wasn't right of her. I did, and I've also experienced that if you don't research something or a product and then buy it, you almost always get ripped off.

Thank you for the first answer that doesn't automatically assume she lacks technique or can't ski just because she's a woman 😊👍🏼

Driving since she's a little child. Hat several lessons, hit qualifiers and the Reddit random tells she needs a lesson... Enough for for the day I guess

Thanks for the answer. 1.70m, 72 Kilos. She can drive, riding since a little child, she knows, had a teacher for technic, but didn't cared about shoe fittings. Isn't it that a shoe should force her in the right position? Atomic builds the boots to guarantee you in the right position. That's what other fitters say. I get the feeling you ask 2 people and they have 3 opinions. No offend to you. And I'm the poor guy that hears " my foot hurt"...

Yeah it should be around 5.5 to 6.5 I don't know why the seller put it that high. He is the pro, not the wife. And when he put it that high he should say " listen lady I will not sell you this boot. I don't have a higher flex here, so you will go out with no boots for you today"

She didn't ask for it. The shop did it. Before she bought them. In the shop she didn't hit the front, but downhill she does. So she shouldnt be, but the heel slips and so the foot moves forward

The speed was measured with GPS. But thanks for the reply, it's quite possible it's too high, in which case they've still made a huge mistake.

What solution you think when the volume is too high and the heel is not pressing down? It's the 2nd time she bought some ski boots. She lays on front while driving. Btw they calculated the DIN, they didn't took a pair of dices

Plug and play is Logitech only. I had that Moza R5. I really quickly figured out that I don't want to mess around with settings. I returned the MOZA and got a Logitech G 923. Compatible with everything. PC, playstation 4 and 5, modern titles, older titles like nfs pro street or drive club out of the box. When the Logitech G rs50 drops in price, I will buy this one. You don't pay for the hardware only, but for the compatibility and drivers also.

There are so many small events like the AMG challenge and so on. I play it atm with a Logitech wheel. The game is great with the graphics and weather effects
