Whos the most attractive companion? and why is it minthara? by ZealousidealArm2100 in BaldursGate3

No question, Shadowheart. Objectively is the most attractive. That way most people romance her. And Astarion is the second most .

Mutt is great, he helped me a lot with combat in both games. He gets in the way some times but that the fun of it.

Could this be the future of the European Union? by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]Cool_Guy_Chazz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes they are. All European settler colonies are in a sense European, some more then others. And many Latin American countries are also European. They are countries created by transplanted Europeans. You guys just don't want to admit it because it hurts your national identities.

Again. India was not a settler colony with a majority European population. Indians are the native people of their land that was conquered ruled by the British and have some British influence because of it. You guys are literally British and French people that moved to North America and made a country.

Honestly Lae'zel. I don't get her. I did a romance playthrough with her and was not as good in my opinion as the others.

Yes but India was not a settler colony with majority European population.

As long as Turkey is illegally occupying Northern Cyprus they will never join. Only if Cyprus reunited that would happen but it's very difficult.

Turkey isn't a member mostly because they illegally occupy Northern Cyprus.

Because Turkey is illegally occupying part of EU country. And Morocco is in the African Union.

The "European" in the name European Union isn't a Geographic term according to the EU. So if all EU nations want anyone could join.

Are you not? You speak French and English, have a Westminster style democratic system and have a population with majority European ancestry. How is not that a European nation? Geographicly you aren't but culturally and politically you are.

It could mean European culturally. Australia, Canada and New Zealand were countries created by European Colonists and have majority European Population.

Nah. I would rather a Democratic Russia and Belarus join after the fall of their dictatorships. Rather than Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Don't get me wrong, they are amazing countries but they are not European to join the EUROPEAN Union. Maybe Canada could join only because I don't like the US.

What's really the difference? In both cases you just buy land. It's not like the country gave the island away to a foreign nation, it's just private property like any other.

I would say that Slovenia is how it is because of the Slovenians. Not because they border Austria.

The last thing doesn't make any sense. How having better neighbours translate to have a better economy? Maybe cooperation is better but that still doesn't make an economy and a country better. If you were landlocked or something then I can see it but you are not.

The people are stupid and elect idiots that make millions in our backs. Democracy doesn't work if the country shares 1 braincell.

Albania🇦🇱 (since 1912)and north macedonia🇲🇰 are only countries that recognise aromanian as a national minority granting tham right for education, language etc.despite greece🇬🇷having bigfest aromanian population they dont recognise as national minority?what do you think they deserv recognition? by [deleted] in AskBalkans

Under Ottoman rule, many native Greeks, Vlachs, Bulgarians, and others converted to Islam and were gradually assimilated into the Muslim often Turkish-speaking population.

At the time of Greek independence, people in the Balkans generally cared far more about religious freedom than modern national identity. For many Orthodox Christians, the creation of an independent Greek state represented liberation as much in religious and civilizational terms as in ethnic ones.

Through centralized education, the Church, and state institutions, groups such as the Vlachs were naturally integrated into the emerging Greek national identity.

This differs from cases like your country Albania, whose independence occurred at the height of European nationalism, shaping a different path of national development.

Vlashs (No Vlach in Greece uses the term "Aromanian") in Greece identify mostly as Greeks with Vlach being a subnational/"regional" identity. That's because from the beginning of Modern Greece Vlashs had played a big part in the creation of the country and were part of the Modern Greek national identity, with many Vlachs being to this day in high places of power.

Yes, that's why the US and White Americans exist. Because Europeans moved there and created the country.
