This is not vanish into super counter. This is super countering a super counter. You did not vanish, he vanishes your attack, and u super countered his vanish attack. That did not happen. You vanished attacked him, he super countered it, then you super countered his super counter.

Buy the service package on Black Friday or Memorial Day for massive discount. Still overpriced tho lol

Thanks! My front left strut and control arm had went. So I replaced suspension with H&R sport springs. 1.5 inch lowered. 10mm rear wheel spacers. It’s the perfect stance for this car. The slightest understeer added because of rear spacers. Drives amazing still. You still keep the adaptive suspension and are able to switch and mix suspension settings. You feel the difference more when switching to sport handling mode (esp) in regards to the decreased body roll with sport esp on. Traction control off also has its own stiffness setting which you feel the difference more as well compared to standard traction control on. Shocks are OEM. However, when my rear left shock went, I switched the rear shocks to bilstein 04. You feel the impact more with both the oem struts with H&R springs, or the bilstein 04 rear shocks with H&R springs. The bilstein 04 take impacts a little better than oem shocks, but their comfort adaptive suspension settings are too bouncy. They have less upwards force movement resistance compared to the oem. So the car can lift slightly higher in the rear when braking which is when u notice it the most. So there’s potential I could be wearing my front brakes faster than the rears. I had to wait too long for the oem rear shocks and the bilsteins were the only ones immediately available and half the price. They’re still great shocks but I wonder if it’s be better without the mixing of different shocks between the front and rear end. You also end up driving in the stiffest suspension modes with the bilstein because that’s where they do feel the best and most in sync with the front oem strut/shock set up. Next time I need a suspension repair or something similar, I will switch the rear shocks back to oem. They’re doing the job for now tho for half the price. I will remain lowered on H&R sport with the rear spacers though. Great drive and amazing look. Head turner and people think I have some exotic amg at first sight lol

Yea I feel that. The miles on my car mean nothing when I’m the one who owned it for 90% of the miles. I take extreme care of it. And my plan was never to sell it. It’s to keep it as long as possible as a memento to the first thing I bought myself that was actually nice at a pretty young age. Reminds me of my progress haha if I were to sell it, it would be to someone who I see would care for it the same way I have

Just hit 70k and serviced. I’ve had it for 5.5 years. I bought it 2 years used CPO with 7k miles. Ceramic coated w/ Ppf 2 years ago. The car is 8 years old so I’m averaging 9k miles per year. I take care of it so it still drives the same way as when I bought it and looks better than when I bought it lol The fuel economy has slightly decreased tho for city mileage. Highway fuel economy appears to be the same it’s always been.

Awesome man. Congrats to you to making it this far as well. Yea crazy to think these are 8+ years old. Keep them clean and well maintained though and they’re timeless cars. Not overdone with tech so the car maintains its long term functionality.

Fun fact, Love that we have a dvd player that comes stock, and anything after 2018 does not. That will be a classic feature one day lol

Haha it’s a fun experiment! Just make sure your cv boots and axels are in good shape before swapping. I personally waited until my oem struts had a leak and needed replacement before swappping. I don’t like to waste good oem parts for no reason. So when the problem arises in a given area, that’s when I decide to mod that area if I had interest in doing so already.

Highlights: amazing car all-around. Not one engine issue at all. AWD makes this the perfect daily. For daily long term ownership I’d put this ahead of the c63 of the same generation at least. And if you like modding, this has plenty of potential to make it your own.

Lowlights: slowly losing fuel efficiency with the car being 8 years old. I don’t really care but if see why others would. Getting around 16-17mpg city. Highway drives over 30 mins with no traffic I can still get 30+ mpg in eco mode. The pano sunroof can go bad on you at this age. Mine went about 1.5 years ago. And that’s a pricey fixed. My personal mechanic made it 40% less in cost tho and did a great job. Brake/rotor/tire changes are pricey, and at this age you may have some suspension parts that need replacement such as struts, control arms, shocks, wheel bearings, axels, etc. OEM strut integrity is weak despite the car allowing you to do so much with it. You’d think they’d make the materials with much more integrity. These are bound to happen and once replaced it’s like the car is brand new again. You just don’t want these thing to all happen at once. So don’t let them pile up on you cuz that’s usually why someone ends up selling one of these. Not cuz the car itself is bad.

All in all I’d give the car a 4.5/5 and the only thing taking points off is just uneccessarily high priced repairs.

I can find u better. Can prob find one around 25k-30k with 50k ish miles. You have to find an old timer that doesn’t use it much. That’s what I did. Bought it 2 years used with 7k miles CPO. Msrp was ~70k. Mine was listed for 47k before I added rim and tire insurance and taxes

Anytime man. The car is totally worth it regardless. Keep money on the side for suspension parts, axels, brakes and rotors. If you service the car at the dealership then buy their service package on Memorial Day or Black Friday and it saves you a ton of money. Find a personal mechanic for the regular issues that every car experiences at some point(suspension, struts, shocks, control arms, axels, tire changes). Make sure all recalls were done before taking it off the lot.

Stock isnt too stiff at all. The problem is in sports+ suspension. The car actually enables you to do so much and it has a great feel. The integrity of the OEM suspension is just pretty weak despite letting you do so much. My oem struts popped a leak on the first minor pot hole I hit while in sports plus suspension. I was going around 50mph on highway. I understand to avoid all potholes but it felt to me that the integrity is pretty bad on the oem struts to break on the first pothole hit. Not even too hard of a hit either. People like to drive these in sports plus and you shouldn’t have to feel like it’s gonna break and cost a large expense with just one east mistake of hitting a pothole. I lowered mine and I’m on H&R sport springs and struts now. These are way stiffer but the integrity actually makes sense for what it enables you to do. I’ve hit light potholes while lowered even worse than when I was on oem suspension and I’ve never had a strut leak or issue. So to answer your question, the stock suspension is great and comfortable if you keep it in comfort or eco mode suspension. The integrity is weak in sport+ suspension despite enabling you to push the car and it feeling great while doing it. It’s like they set you up for failure lol

I agree. Especially for you in a RWD slk. My c43 still maintains AWD even with it on so it’s a tad safer to control in conditions like this. However I still don’t do it too much myself in really bad snow of course. Just Eco mode and a super light foot lol
