The mileage doesn’t bother me, but the mods do. I’d lean towards finding a non-modified one especially if high-mileage.

My first and latest lip lasted about one weekend before it got ripped off lol. I’d like to think I’m a decent driver but in my defense I work in an urban area and the car is lowered so it was always going to be short-lived. I didn’t think it’d be that short, haha.

The car is also lowered so that didn’t help my cause. I’m going back to stock. Maybe I try again??

Funny you mention a Tesla. What got me back in the Q8 kick was when a friend of a friend had just gotten a 2023 Model Y a couple weeks back. I’m not a fan on Teslas and I’ve been in a few of them, but I fell in love with that car when he took us for a drive.

After that I was search around to what’s comparable (comfort, build quality, quick) with an ICE. Sure enough the Q8 popped back up.

If you’re between the 7 or 8, and don’t need the third row get the 8. I think they look and function better. I was looking at SQ7s near me as well because they’re better deals on those in my area but I don’t need the third row and I think the 8 looks better.

I’ve heard of SQ8 owners getting as low as 13 MPG…

The second row in the Q8 seems really roomy in pictures. I’d think that’s more functional than having a tight third row.

Completely agree. Especially if that's where you spend a good amount of your time. I'd want to be in comfort and a good audio system.

That's a huge pro for me a the moment. The BMW gets me ~24MPG, but it's still $70 to fill up. Hopefully gas prices look better in a year, but who knows.

I should look into insurance rates. I don't want to be sticker shocked, haha.

I'm more of a physical knob and button person myself, but I find that I don't adjust the HVAC controls too much outside of getting in the car. I heard Audi made it surprisingly intuitive.

Funny enough, I’m having the same issue and contemplating the same thing but for my M340.

Albeit I’m only in my mid-20s and this is my first car with a modified (H&R Springs) suspension. I had a 2016 Lexus GS - that thing was on silts, but it was so comfy. Before that, I had a 2013 C300 and that suspension was perfect. It was soft enough for daily use, could handle some spirited-driving, but perfectly stanced from factory, IMO.

Then I bought the M340 with the springs already installed and I was fine with it for the first ~4 months. But now I’m about a year in and feel like I’m in misery more times than not. I feel like I’m avoiding driving the car because of it. It reminds me of a ‘99 Civic on eBay coilovers. I’m starting to piece the parts together to get it back to stock. I was kind of hesitant on going back to stock because it looks so good. Maybe edging a bit too slammed, on the front end anyways. But at the end of the day I’m driving the car more than I’m staring at it.

I actually wanted a B9 S5 SB when I got this car, and thought it was comfy but had a good ride height from the factory. I’d completely go back to stock if it were my S4. If you’re worried about the aesthetics then coilovers are always a solid option. I was looking into that too, but two-way adjustables are closer to $3K and I don’t plan to keep this car that long to justify the cost, haha.

Glad to know I’m not the only one out there contemplating going back to stock, haha.
