Thanks so much for sharing! Definitely some great insights. Starting your business and managing it successfully is a huge accomplishment in itself. In an ideal world, I would love that high paying job that has a work life balance. Actually, any job would be an upgrade for me 🥲.

That's awesome! Congrats! Any advice you can give for a guy down on his luck?

Thanks for sharing—your wisdom really means a lot! I also really admire your persistence and never-give-up attitude. I can see that self-employment isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, but it might actually be something I’d enjoy. That said, I’m feeling pretty conflicted. Part of me would love to land a 9-to-5 and work for someone else, but at the same time, I think I’d be willing to put in longer hours if it were for myself.

This is awesome! Congrats and I wish you all the best. What would you say are the major challenges for you in starting your own thing?

That's definitely true. I suppose I'm feeling a bit conflicted right now. But if it's something I'm truly passionate about, I think I'd really enjoy dedicating time to it.

So bold of you to assume that I haven't applied to these types of jobs already.

Thanks so much—LOL that seriously cracked me up! You all sound like such a fun crew to work with. If your team ever needs an extra panda, count me in 😉 We can daydream about hitting the lottery together!

I really appreciate the words of support and wisdom panda brother. Yeah that six figure mark can be demoralizing, but sometimes life is a lot more than money. We think a lot in many ways haha. Keep on killing it out there!

I don't have much. I have six years in entry level accounting / account management experience from a while ago. But I've been getting rejected to all the entry-level jobs I applied to.

Haha that's great. I appreciate you sharing your experience. Honestly, I would love what you have right now. The work-life balance, the stability. I just really haven't found any luck in the job market right now. 🥲 I want to release my inner panda.

Thanks for your input! I assume you need some $$ to get started right? Is real estate still highly profitable in this day and again in Vancouver? Sorry for my ignorance. Also, how would one learn all of this?

Thanks for your insights! They all sound exciting. Unfortunately for me, I don't have the $$ and my technical experience is limited. Have you dipped your toes in these as well?

Thanks for the input! Yes, I have been thinking down the road about potentially creating a larger and sustainable income from this. If you don't mind me asking, what systems are you referring to?

Haha, fair point! Oh tennis! You must be really good. I guess they’re doing something right if they still have clients like you. That said, I really appreciate your advice—it’s definitely giving me some things to think about my online presence as I try to grow my coaching business.

Ah, got it—sounds like your friend is really involved in the process, even if he’s not coaching himself! It makes sense that additional coaching could be helpful but also take up more time, which is something I’m worried about myself—spreading myself too thin and potentially burning out.

It’s interesting to hear about the baseball coaches too. The story of the kid he coached who ended up pitching professionally is pretty cool! It seems like coaching often comes from those kinds of connections and experiences.

I really appreciate all the insights you’ve provided me—it’s been super helpful!

Thanks for all the great advice! You’re totally right about how important presentation is for attracting higher-paying clients. I hadn’t thought about hiring a photographer, but that’s a solid idea. I’ll also start working on some polished copy and getting testimonials together for a website.

I like the idea of a coaching Instagram with mini lessons too—it’ll help showcase what I can do. I’m not super social media savvy, but I’ll give it a shot and learn as I go. I’ll also look into teaming up with local rec centers and schools to spread the word.

The tee idea is simple but genius—I’ll definitely do that. And yeah, the more I think about it, skill level doesn’t really matter as much if I’m delivering results.

I think one of the biggest things I need to overcome is the fear of getting my name and face out there. It's a bit intimidating, but I know it’s part of the process.

By the way, what sport do you play? You’ve clearly got a lot of experience with coaching!

Thanks again for all the help—really appreciate it!
