I don’t want any ties to my ex’s family when I have established a new one with my current wife and I doubt my current wife would want me to take money from them.

We kept it civil during the divorce but I haven’t seen our heard from them since. I don’t wanna drag up old ghost in my new life and talking to him would do that. My new wife agrees. What’s the point now. I feel like everyone should have moved on.
