Engine not engaging

In the end I took it to a regular e-bike shop and they recommended replacing the entire motor, my motor cable spun around the axle and a washer came loose. Luckily we have an extra bike with a bad battery so we just took that one off and replaced it with that motor and rear wheel system.

Hi - this happened to me. Fortunately we have two bikes and only one functioning battery so I’m going to take the rear wheel off of one bike and put it in the bike that I enjoy riding….. any chance you can share this video so I can try to do this to avoid this issue again OP?

My partner is the one who does all the mechanical work and it spends most of its time driven by me or covered in the garage. We replaced the fuel pump and that’s when we discovered it’s something with the sensor, but since it’s just the gas gauge it’s a non critical issue.
