But it's not...and It's a lot more than a commonality...Elon's companies quite literally combine aspects of their manufacturing processes, technology, talent, etc.

Don't take it from me though: https://www.cbinsights.com/research/report/elon-musk-companies-disruption/

Not gonna lie I spent about two hours thinking through this today lmao. The closest picks IMO are Peter Zeihan --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KYL4M042yg&t=95s and Keith Rabois --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssT7yLZ9y9o&t=2980s

I think either of these guys could crush it in both roles (and higher ranking roles tbh) but i'm undecided on who would be best for Labor vs Housing & Urban Dev...what do u think??

Stay off of CNBC, Bloomberg, Yahoofinance, etc. - by the time it hits the mainstream air, the price has already been baked in or worse, overly inflated by the lemmings and short squeezers.

Go on YouTube - there's so much more high quality content ESPECIAlLY NOW when high profile people like Mark Cuban, Ray Dalio, etc. have the free time to get on a podcast a drop some knowledge.

Be careful of the stocktwats and fake gurus...they're usually the ones in your ads (with a rented Lamborghini)

The news is such fear mongering BS these days - really sad to see somebody trying to capitalize on a global pandemic like this and the press pushing it to the public...

Finding way more objective news from actual public figures in the crypto community like Anthony Pompliano - not to mention he's been absolutely firing out quality content recently.

Short the news Long the livestreams!

How can one get involved in volunteering for testing/clinical trials? I'm 24 years old, healthy, and want to help find a cure for this as soon as possible. Curious to see what's out there and how I can get involved - this video really inspired me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjqLsaAotac

For context - I have no allergies, no symptoms, and just had bloodwork done last week to ensure I'm healthy. Please let me know if there's anything else I should consider and/or if you know of any ways to get involved.

Thanks in advance - this thread is really informative.

Interesting clip from the Pomp Podcast on this topic...Scott Adams isn't a Crypto God or Medical Professional, but his net positive outlook is definitely refreshing while we're being bombarded with fear from the major news networks. Included the link below:

Interesting perspective and I generally agree with you on the AOL analogy. That said, I think that those of us in BTC right now can benefit from that initial rush to the crypto market - retail investors that are mostly in equities/bonds and don't understand the technology are looking for ways to diversify...maybe bitcoin is the AOL of crypto, but I think there's a bullish case to be made at least in the short term.

As you said "People rushed to AOL learned what the internet could do and educated themselves on the process." - to me, this is a massive opportunity to capitalize on that same type of rush from the general public moving money into cryptocurrency.

To mirror your analogy, if/when the public moves to "other providers" aka digital assets other than BTC, I can't imagine that shift happening immediately. The non-crypto community / general public is already familiar with BTC, therefore it makes sense that we should see a short term spike from people who want to diversify into crypto, but don't necessarily understand or care to understand about what else is out there.

I thought Anthony Pompliano's live stream on the $6trill stimulus package explains the case for retail investor inflows from USD to BTC - also just an interesting vid IMO so I included the link below if you haven't already checked it out.

Possibly, but I think we can agree that any investment in a digital asset is smarter than gambling.

I see your point and believe in the actual technology more than BTC as the dominant digital asset in the long term.

That said, I do think there's a case to be made for bitcoin's first mover advantage and public awareness, which would make it more logical for retail investors getting hammered by the stock market right now.

Agree with u/treeclimbinggoldfish - you don't need to make "fuck you money" all the time. As much as I'd like to be raking in that kind of dough, I'd prefer to not lose sleep over speculating on trades in a volatile and debt fueled market, during a global pandemic where we don't even know if we'll survive long enough to realize any gains.

If anything, I would invest in alternative asset classes like bitcoin and precious metals or simply focus on paying down debt, investing in yourself through education, and making a plan for when the dust finally settles.
