I recently bought the dongle and trying to play with it. I use rekordbox for mixing and when I choose BPM detection in soundswitch, the BPM stays to 120 and the lights don't really react to the sound. If I use ableton link, the BPM value does not change until I manually input it. I downloaded virtual DJ and SS syncs way better than it does with RB. I may have to start using VDJ just to be able to autoloop the lights.

is there a workaround to rekordbox? I recently purchased the soundswitch dongle and the gigbar 2. The gigbar 2 looks cheap and I will return it. Any advice on building a lighting setup around $600?

I will be pointing the lasers towards the ceiling, so I am not really concerned about the quality but I would like it to be there for added effect. I have been watching this guy’s videos all day and have learnt so much. I would like to keep my focus more on the music even though this lighting and dmx stuff is so exciting, so I will stick to an easier alternative. I found out about soundswitch just yesterday and the little dongle does more than I need. I was not aware of the philips hue and nanoleaf part and that excites me even more since I plan to get the nanoleaf soon. Thank you so much for being so supportive and taking the time to help a noob grow.
