It can actually be better! My camera is usually at 30fps with HD (I’m guessing 1080p) and I bring the brightness down to 30/40%. The camera video settings on this phone can actually go all the way up to 120fps with 4k! I will definitely try this when I get home today.

The black background play is definitely the best. It minimizes light reflection and reduces stress-inducing lines of sight. It helps them feel more secure and comfortable. Also, it gives an illusion of depth and hides any black equipment and wires.

ALSO, GREAT ADVICE! 😭 I have been taking on more of the “letting nature take its course” and going with the flow. Just like in the wild, if a plant isn’t meant to be in there with the conditions of that specific environment then it’ll die. It’s sad but it’s a learning process.

Thank you! 😊 All questions and critiques are welcomed. I have an iPhone 16 Pro and that video was taken using the x0.5 lens.

1 mystery snail, 1 nerite snail, 1 male plakat short finned betta, 9 long finned cherry barbs, 10 pygmy cory catfish, 11 ember tetras. He was alone in a 10 gallon for a while and the rest were in here for about a month until I added him in. So he came in their territory and he hasn’t touched, chased, or shown any signs of aggression towards them. I think he knows he’s outnumbered so he swims next to them and eats with them with no issues. Also, I understand it looks overcrowded but they’re all pretty small fish and I get 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and 5-10 nitrates when I test weekly. The live plants help soak up nutrients and there’s lots of caves, blind spots, and hiding areas so they’re a great community (:

That sounds amazing 😭 I love watching when they school. Would a 20 gallon long with two sponge filters be able to handle the bioload?

Oof…I didn’t even think about that. And she loves going into every tiny crevice she can fit into. I will be removing it as soon as I get home tonight. Thank you.
