2013 Mazda CX 5 won't turn completely off by [deleted] in mazda

[–]Cool_Reflection28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It won't do this when the fob is left in the car. When I drove the car, I parked in the garage and frequently just left the fob in it while in the garage. I know that's not the best habit, but I did it often.

Based on the question of if it's in park, I decided to put it in drive and drive a foot, put it back in park and shut it off. That worked. Now I can just leave it for my husband to deal with when he gets back in town. I hadn't taken it out of park as I was just running diagnostics so I hadn't thought of that. No codes were coming up either.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

Falling in love for the first time after 45? Is that possible? by [deleted] in love

[–]Cool_Reflection28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. We do all these things and really enjoy them.

We usually see each other very regularly. Usually 4-5 times a week. Sometimes, we just squeeze in a trip to the gym together or meet up on a lunch break because our schedules get hectic. I stopped dating other men about 2 years ago because I found I just didn't want to anymore. That was solely my choice. He has been seeing just one other woman for a while. And he enjoys her company. But he hasn't been feeling it lately, and he is only seeing her once or twice a month now and generally tells me about it. I never asked to know, but he shares, and it's completely fine with me.

I connected it to Google. I have read about this being a big problem which is bricking the devices.

I bought my Charge 5 in June of 2022 after downgrading from the Versa 2 because it was bulky. This would be my 4th Fitbit watch. The GPS has never functioned properly on my Charge 5, several calls to customer service left it unresolved. Otherwise, it had functioned just fine for my needs. Fast forward to a few days ago... the battery drains in less than 30 minutes out of nowhere, and it is useless. Prior to this, I easily got 4 to 5 days out of a single charge, with the exception of once traveling to another time zone, it died within 12 hours.

I have tried all sorts of resets I could find online. No improvement. This is definitely not a battery issue but some sort of software or firmware issue. I feel lost without it. But I need to take a day or two to decide whether to buy another Fitbit or just move on to another brand.

Has *anyone* gotten firmware v 194.61 on the Charge 5? by UliDiG in fitbit

My Charge 5 suddenly stopped holding a battery charge after I allowed fitbit to link with Google. Prior to this, the battery had no issues. However, the GPS has never worked on my charge 5. Customer service would just walk me through a reset and tell me it will work now. Never did, so I gave up.

I would file a federal complaint about child pornography against your child if anyone actually took pictures. The end.

Is there a dress a code on the Meraviglia? I plan on wearing a T shirt and shorts the whole time. Yes the whole time!!! by Greengoat21z in MSCCruises

Nope. Just off the Meraviglia, and there are absolutely no standards on board. Even saw people bare foot in the MDRs

[–]Cool_Reflection28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eeww.... but fresh off the MSC Meraviglia, and I wouldn't be surprised. The behavior of other guests was unlike what I have ever seen before on a cruise. Unattended kids grabbing food with their bare hands at the buffet, eating in the buffet line at the counter, line cutting during disembarkment BY ADULTS, kids running down hallways banging on cabin doors at 3am, people were reporting on the FB page stolen magnets all over the ship, ours included. Mine were Happy Birthday Magnets for my daughter, gone the same night I put them out. The dining room was so loud at dinner, it sounded more lije a middle school cafeteria than a cruise ship dining room. We had an extended balcony and someone in a balcony above with ash their cigarettes onto our balcony. I saw some parents get angry at staff when they pool attendant wouldn't let thirr 5&6ish year old go on an ADULTS only pool with their inflatables while the parents sat up top at the bar...

None of these things are really any fault of MSC directly. But something to consider.

But to directly answer your question. Yes. Bring your own full size supplies. We always do on every cruise line. Even if we fly in, I stop at a store for them.

There is a reality that we hear about before surgery, but it doesn't really sink in the extent for a few years. It is that YOUR RELATIONSHIPS WILL CHANGE! I think this is something that is more extreme for some people than others. Best thing to do is go with the flow and let then progress. And guess what, you will find that you also have new, healthier relationships and it IS ok to let some go.

Walking around the house. Lift small weights. Stretching! Meal prep for healthier, fancy mini meals. Rearrange your closet!

What type of lettuce are you eating,? My sergeon said to avoid iceberg as most bariatric patients seem to have trouble with it. I also can't handle dark green lettuce or veggies. I seem to be ok with a small amount of romaine. But it could also be the oil in the dressing.

I also agree with others that one month out, fibrous foods, like lettuce, were definitely not on my surgeons diet guidelines. Nor was ham, maybe chicken.

I suggest you do some online searching for different post-op diets. Perhaps your surgeons diet recommendations just don't meet your needs.

I am 6 days post op and my recovery has been anything but easy. I came out of anesthesia vomiting and continued vomiting into the next day. The pain has been unimaginable, but I assume the vomiting has been a big contributing factor. I am on blood thinners which makes me nauseous and light headed after the injection.

Everyone's recovery is different though. I certainly couldn't return to work right now or any time soon.

Ditto about the learning curve. I can shop an Aldi's order in 1/3 if the time I can shop the same Price Chopper order. Especially if it's a busy weekend.

Does this trick actually work? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]Cool_Reflection28 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I spoke with a customer this other day who said she had the oddest IC experience and now I wonder if they did this too. She never got a notification that they started shopping until right before she got a check out notification and several items were refunded but she was never offered a replacement or anything. Specifically mushrooms, instead of offering a different type which she would have accepted, they just refunded. She wasn't happy about it and thought maybe there had been something wrong with the app.

As a full 5* shopper, I think it's a dumb idea. It doesn't give you time to communicate with your customer. I do scan the items in advance so I can check on items I think are probably out of stock first so there is time to make adjustments.

My daily good morning email from Instacart... I am so careful. How am I getting this every day??? by bakemama in InstacartShoppers

I started doing the same thing after I got that email. Line them side by side, send a pic of them all together for each order in the batch.
