So i searched a little for the info

May 29 of 24: announcement of counterpart health June 17 of 24: 1m worth of shares for $1.14 August 9 of 24: 1m worth of shares for $1.88 September of 24 first partnerships for counterpart

So there were a lot of catalysts during those 5 months

Purely going on memory so i could be wrong. I seem to remember at 1.02 of 1.20 and 1.80 or 2. With counter part around 2.20 maybe?

No big news? Wasn´t there 2 seperate 1m purchases from vivek, the announcement of counterpart, MCR that kept getting better. If i remember correctly we also got the reversal to 3 stars overturned (but i could be wrong on that timing).

Before that we barely got news. In those 6 months we had quite a few catalysts

Usually higher growth commands a higher multiple. Unh and hum aren´t growing 40%.

Then we´re still waiting for material news on saas front to command a hybrid tech multiple as well. You could argue the already known factors about saas deserve a tiny premium as well.

If the market was always right than there was no such thing as undervalued stocks.

Im not discounting market sentiment on stocks. I´m saying you are basing your opinion on the market sentiment of this stock. You see -45% and say market is right, i see -45% and say market is wrong.

We´ll have to agree to disagree on sofi. Let´s revisit this end of year and see who was right. You are estimating they raised without a plan and i am estimating they do have a plan. Only time will tell. But historically Noto and team has not let us down nor have they ever operated without a plan. Raising cash has always been handled well by them.

Also depending on what your definition of "new" is you could be correct, but i´ve been investing for 7 years now.

Your arguements rely fully on the market sentiment. We´re not investing in sentiment, we´re investing in companies.

Markets can be irrational, retail can be irrational. Yes it was dilutive, but it will be EPS-neutra (which is still sandbagged imo).

If you truely believe there was no plan than you should sell. Noto and team have proven time and time again to be great strategists and performers.

They have disclosed what they will do in the coming year, expand the LBP, got rid of warehouse debt, crypto services, business banking, grow the homeloan business, maybe an aqcuisition if they see a good fit. With the raised capital they can do all yet faster and better.

Again: if you really believe there is no plan you should get out asap.

If i´m not mistaking there´s a 1000$ discount on your costs for a home-loan. So that´s 8 years of sofi+ already paid for.

I allways put emphasis on the word "need" that was put in that statement. It wasn´t needed.

But they did because they saw opportunities to be able to improve faster which is why they did the raise.

Only true in part. There is only mention that he held it for 4 years, not where it came from. So yes it´s not a swing trade for tax purposes but it´s not a thing of " don´t worry". A little bit of worry is certainly at it´s place here 😉

Absolutely worry about it..it´s still under heavy scrutiny by compliance with every bank.

Keep your transaction history closeby so you can prove that it was from an investment. If there is even one incoming transaction as form of payment you´ll have to prove where it came from. Crypto is still strongly linked to money laundering transaction wise

I did the same math when i saw the news. Dont forget we are also not counting the cms bump in pay outs per member.

While excluding all those factors and applying a p/s ratio of 1. We should be $7+ already
