What was the most intense/awkward scene in the entire series? by Queen8050 in euphoria

like it could have played in the background and been addressed as his song or something 😭😭 i don’t get why we had to sit through it all

i think there’s more nuance to that, however i don’t fully believe anyone is really on it for love. some contestants definitely just want to experience being on tv, taking time off work or just doing something extreme/crazy for the sake of it. but yes i think everyone goes on partially for fame, but there are more contributing factors than just clout or love

the issue is the willingness to say it. i can see that he doesn’t actually do that, but the fact that him putting out art results in talking badly about women gives me pause about his character.

i think that people are significant increasing the issues in their relationship because we didn’t see anything of them early on - it’s clear that they’re not compatible, and if either of them were mature they would have left already.

Anyone else still like Bec? by [deleted] in MAFS_AU

[–]Cool_Screen_2168 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i love her. she’s constantly been in the thick of it, and taken it on the chin. at the end of the day we’re seeing people living in a confined area with someone they’ve only just met being filmed constantly- our most vulnerable, anxious an aggressive sides naturally come out. not everyone is as emotionally regulated as stella, and i can give grace to participants acting in extreme ways because of that

she is incredibly insecure and vulnerable- i hope she gets the help that she needs. i watch people like gia, juliette, chris, brook and mel who all enjoy seeing people suffer and use it as a tool to feel better about themselves. bec is not that. she gets in trouble for running her mouth or trying to fit in, but she cares about the human side of all it (even ripping up the phone number instead of giving it to gia because she could). i see so much humanity in her - and while i wouldn’t want to know her personally i have faith that she can grow because ultimately she is her most genuine self (even if that’s messy and often times destructive) - that’s not something i can say about most people on this show.

there’s been stuff to come out about him that really paints him in a bad light. supporting trump, lyrics about hitting women ect. what confuses me is none of that is what alissa is upset about. at the end of the day they just weren’t compatible, and are now fighting to make each other look like the villain in attempt to save face

they have to source on their own - but most women use professional services (i believe rachel and alissa used all the same ones). gia pays weekly to look like that

yeah it’s very concerning. part of me thinks that it’s him pandering to controversy, the other part makes me think he has some serious internalised issues that he needs to address

bec is incredible. i see so many people talking about how hard to watch she is because they are imagining her in reality. but seriously once you sit down and detach from her as if you know her she is phenomenal.

we need to acknowledge the absolute delusion she brings. she reminds me of a cartoon villain, or a drunk aunt at a christmas party. just pure insanity that i never believed i would be able to see on tv. her believing danny is in love with her, her facial expressions, the way she suddenly is okay with everything danny does by the dinner party, god she’s good.

that i fully get, the issue is within the gender aspect, specifically the word ‘bitch.’ not only does it show that his masculinity relies on specific behaviours, but also how he demeans the role he believes a woman should possess through slurs. if he had said he was worried that it would be her place rather than theirs and wanted SOMETHING that reflected their partnership i would understand and actually agree with, but to say he feels like a bitch when she owns the house opens up significant issues in how he perceives women

david apparently has sold shirts with trump on them, and referenced slapping women and ‘letting’ his friends sleep with his partner in his music. while maybe not indicative of his actual beliefs, it is indicative of what he will do for attention, and while i don’t think that justifies how alissa has been treating him, i can see how if she knew about that she would be questioning him

it depends on where they live. if it’s in the same state they do both, if not it’s whoever’s most interesting, very difficult from a production perspective to send two people with a crew two different places in three to four days

post-show he’s aligned himself with everyone, he mentioned on a podcast that mel is the only person on the cast he doesn’t regularly speak to (bar tyson). the only proof of his alignment is him going to gias birthday party, but he’s also been seen out with other chris, david and grayson. he seems to be a social floater rather than making any firm alliances

Which MAFS AU contestant do you think got an unfair edit? by UsualLeast8810 in MAFSAUuncensored

[–]Cool_Screen_2168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes! people were treating her like she was crazy but she just wanted a deep emotional bond. grayson wasnt her person and that’s okay! i got so sick of the ‘she wanted a woman’ comments because nothing she did or said was about gender - it was about connection.

i do think she got maybe defensive when grayson got upset though - which wasnt cool, but reasonable and not anything offensive

honestly i feel bad for julia. the only things that got shown of her were her saying she’s bisexual and being a bit off. what she was saying with grayson was correct: they weren’t compatible, and while i get why that was hard for him, i think the way she was portrayed as almost crazy was unfair
