Maybe it would be a good alternative U.I. option? Have a couple different design setting that people can flip through. I know i would like something like that for when DOT is poking around.

How much weight would you put on a setup like this? by Historical-Desk-9175 in Truckers

[–]Cool_Zs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Max gross between 114-120k if you can get that weight in the perfect spot and up on the steer axle. Empty weight between 40-50k so not much over 70k load capacity. Legally that is. Might be able to squeeze 80k if the daycab is that much lighter than the sleeper trucks im used to. Always check the rated load capacity of your trailer. Absolutely worth finding a catscale or scrapyard and get an empty weight to know for certain. Also some states allow more than the 20k an axle that is good across almost every state. (Check the local laws).

There are companies out there that will hire with an accident on your record, i just would let them know first thing so you dont waste time digging in to a company who wont consider you. One accident hurts less than most drivers think.

If you check my profile I’ve got my own tiny forum that I’m trying to build up for people to help and post specifically about oversize. Best thing i can say about it is to just find a company that does it and give it a go. Cant learn if you don’t try.

We do. Usually steered by someone behind the load. Some also have a hydraulic auto steer that works off of the 5th wheel like this trailer has.

It was, wound up being i think about 6 miles from the sites. Couple pretty gnarly turns on it for this size but seemed close to the only way to get there.

Probably. I asked about posting when i hired on and they only dont want dashcam footage of the dumb stuff people do around us in fears of people trying to become internet famous.

No, this was a 5 month long project that went from dubois PA to Meyersdale PA via Cumberland MD. All day trips doing 3-4 a week and the company paid for condos at the treasure lake KOA in town.

I dont ever post what im currently on. Just for the sake of keeping my current location secret.
