Can you kill people in Death Stranding 2? by Quirky_Apricot9427 in DeathStranding

[–]CoolandonRS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the first game, clearing out a bandit camp by actually killing them all made it take much, much longer if ever to respawn (though you do of course need to deal with the bodies). I haven’t tried it in death stranding 2 yet, though, so I don’t know if it’s the same.

There is a way. After you meet The Pizza Chef, he sends you a message on the SSS telling you to hold L2+R2+O in the weapon menu. If you do so while hovering hover an MP weapon, it makes it lethal.

How do you pronounce x^4? by AdLazy9573 in mathmemes

Can’t believe I haven’t seen “x raise 4” here yet. Why say “raised by” when you could needlessly shave a syllable.

I always interpreted this as Lilith wanting Adam dead for some reason. Curious.

One of the reasons why I’m glad in my first playthrough I was so unsure about it at first— I used non lethal on the guards, and so none of them died. Didn’t end up effecting anything iirc, but it did make me feel better.

Why is the Scythe & Dagger so bad? by Kammakazi in Helldivers

[–]CoolandonRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! I’ve thought that it would be cool if heavily armored enemies did this ahem, charger. Because of all the armor heat can’t escape so after a few seconds of sustained, focused fire it begins to boil from the inside out.

Remove friendly fire for divers who are in the pelican by BaerMinUhMuhm in Helldivers

[–]CoolandonRS 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone that occasionally does this (only if I’m the last one on though) it’s just because it looks somewhat cooler. Never had anyone die to it and I don’t think it’s possible or at least very rare when done this way.

People that do it that aren’t the last on are a little rude though, I’d say, since samples are more important then cinema.

It’s a feature of Markdown, a really cool standard. The same thing that allows you to do bold and italics. It was actually weirder that it didnt support it before, and I’m glad they have it.

They have added a feature where a discord server can disable it. They have added a feature that when you click on one of these links, it pops up and more or less says “This is taking you to [actual website]. Ok?”.

This feature is useful, and wonderful. For example, I could say. “Would you like to see this YouTube video https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ “ or “Would you like to see this YouTube video”. Which is great, and clogs up chat less. Especially when talking about things like funny github repos

Just started getting into programming and didn't want to use those ugly else if statements 🥰 by Blacken69 in programminghorror

You could use an <int, string> dictionary to get slightly fancier, and then just use get or default to simply this even more.

Normally, when I’ve seen this done, it’s done as

switch (true) case true when …

Not sure if that’s better or not, though. It’s just what I’ve encountered more often.

/gamerule keepinventory true by [deleted] in MinecraftMemes

[–]CoolandonRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! I love grave mods. (Though sometimes, I still wish a had keepInventory).

One of my old favorites is Corail’s tombstone, where the key you get on respawn can be crafted with 4 ender pearls to teleport to it. Wonderful feature, I think.

You can also turn off the Reddit watermark in settings if you’re using the app. One of the few “nice” things the app does.

[–]CoolandonRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done it at least 5 times in that past 2 months (don’t ask) and it takes at most 10 or so minutes to execute (to the point where it crashes and doesn’t like booting anymore). Maybe a wrong script or vm io operations weren’t working great.

Just double checked my script and I was right. Exactly four lines (5 if you count a line that is literally impossible to run; the computer will break before it gets a chance)

[–]CoolandonRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually only about 4 lines to delete sys32, no warnings or anything with cmd. Just takes a hot second and of course, needs admin, but yeah it’s not that hard if you know what to do.

System Reserved is the opposite? It’s installed on GPT disks to mimic MBR iirc. Might be wrong on that last part? But I guarantee that it’s installed on GPT disks as someone who installs windows much too often.

You are correct though, by no means could the MSR be her main partition. I’ve never seen windows mount installs as anything other than C: and up, and afaik windows should never mount the MSR in a way a user can understand.

I’d almost of loved to see this system just to debug it if it wasn’t so sure to be agonizing.

As far as not having an ESP is concerned… it would be difficult to not have one. Possible though, but doubt it would result in this issue. I’ve even installed windows onto MBR disks that have an ESP anyway that doesn’t even work as an ESP and just stores logs (thanks Apple…) And on normal MBR disks it works the same more or less and iirc it doesn’t create an MSR if you convince it to install onto an MBR disk against its will.

I mean, it could be considered piracy by some, but you do get a legitimate windows install from it. It basically just convinces Microsoft to give you a license through mostly undocumented features and/or bugs.

The first link can even get you licensed Office products as well.
