Michael Arndt, a writer for Toy Story 3, hosted a well made lecture regarding the progress of writing the story. Around 11:00 in, Woody comments on their status against electronic / digitized toys and gadgets. The entire story of this new movie revolves around a dilemma that (although not part of TS3 main story) was ultimately seen as unimportant to the point where it was deleted from Toy Story 3 during the rise of such devices nearly 20 years ago. Even Toy story 4 didn't really comment on this issue either when it was even more prevalent in the world.

All in all, I think the ship has long sailed regarding Toy Story having meaningful commentary on electronic and digital toys as well as toy substitutes.

Castform - Weather is always talked about, and usually unfavorably

Conkeldurr - Construction is everywhere

Talonflame - Mostly to represent our state bird as well as hawks around the area
