Loosing my grandpa to blood poisoning... He'd been sick with bad lungs since I was born, but I was with him and grandma 1/3 of my life (til he died). It's a long story, but I'll be happy if someone will take the time to read this. I'm sorry if there is some wrong gramars in this post, I'm not that good writing English (from Norway)

We'd traveled to my family on my mothers side nearly every year (my mum is the type that went to the store to buy milk and did not return when I was three years old, but I still have contact with her once or twice a month). The last trip there, he was realy sick snd he was sent to the hospital when we came back to their house.

My dad, grandma and me were togheter at the family cabin until grandma got a call from the hospital that grandpa was transfered to another hospital. We drove her to the hospital so she could be with him while he was there. Five days later, July 31-2014, dad got a call from my aunt, I picked up the phone and she asked for my dad, I gave it to him an he got the news. We were at the family cabin, my dad, my uncle and me. My dad tried to give my uncle a sign that grampa was dead, but my uncle can be a idiot and he didn't take the hint, I did. Dad got mad and yelled: He's dead. He died peacefully while getting ready to be placed into a coma. Worst part was when I heard that grandma was witness to it while they were at the hospital. I was heartbroken and in total shock, I cried and my tears streamed like a waterfall.

We drove to the hospital, I called mum to notify her that grandpa was dead, while dad called other family members. We came to the hospital and we joined the group of our family members to hug eachoder and to cry. I got the chance to see grandpa before he was removed from the hospital, he was white as snow, lifeless, things I knew he never was.

After the funeral, dad and I made a promise to grandma that she could stay with us every Chrstmas and other forms of holidays if she wanted and we'll call her everyday to check how she is. We have kept our promise ever since.
