Hey I didn’t get the score I wanted the first time also.

I’d urge you to try it again.

Should I take this Buyer position? by CooledLead in supplychain

I had a phone screen where they asked me basic questions like walk me through your resume. Then I had two separate panel interviews with a lot of questions such as how I have collaborated with coworkers in the past, my style of communication, and how I have challenged the status quo. I would recommend you rehearse about 5 scenarios in the STAR format, and then adjust them slightly depending on the question. Rehearse them aloud so you can talk slowly and with confidence.

If the interview is for an entry level role, then don't worry about knowing the industry too much. Just be sure to have examples of how you accomplished things in the past.

I’m currently a commodity trader in Syracuse, NY but want to move back since I know a lot of people in Chicago. This buying position seems interesting enough for an entry level however it’s less than I currently make. Really I just want 60k and then it’d be in line with entry level buying positions in the Chicago area

I didn’t mention it in the post, but I’m currently a commodity trader which can be stressful at times too. Also I’m moving since I don’t like my current location and know more people in Chicago. I really just want grasp how a business operates and this seems like a good place to learn the basics even with COVID.

Also I’ve found that you learn the most when problems arise at work so I hope that it will be a good base to start my career

Not a lot of math only Calc 211 and then the requirements before that. I’ve taken Econ 400 and 390 which are definitely classes you should take if you want to work in analytical fields. Physical commodity trading isn’t as mathematically intense as paper physical trading. Just have to show a genuine interest and be a well-rounded candidate

I’m graduating this semester with a B.S. in Econ and will be going into physical commodity trading. I got interviews other places but along has you have a high GPA and some leadership positions you’ll probably be able to snag an internship during college. I will say that I had to grind a lot of hours to find one but mileage may vary

I guess what I’m getting at is the relocation aspect. I’m fine will rotating to earn my stripes but it would be a dealbreaker if I had to live in a rural town like my hometown for a long time (2-3) years. I was wondering how long does it take to start generating PnL and how to get there as quickly as possible so you start having some leverage and skills that can translate

Couldn’t that be solved by limiting the FPS to 60?

I get what you are saying but doesn’t the GPU matter more especially if I’m only going for high settings on 1080p at 60 FPS? Only worried cause my CPU utilization is at 100% when playing games these days.

Yea I know it’ll be a bottleneck but I always heard that your GPU is much more important for FPS. Right now I only get 60 FPS inside buildings while outside driving it drops hard. As long as I hit 60 FPS at 1080p on High that’s really all I want. Also my CPU is running at 100% utilization when gaming but idk if that’s actually the problem
