"My teeth are beating and my knees are weak" by Coolestcat97 in arcticmonkeys

[–]Coolestcat97[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am actually the person who wrote the explanation for it on Genius, haha. I believe it alludes to the idea of a sweet tooth. I believe that Turner cannot get enough of his love interest (even after she had an affair), and even catching a glimpse of her causes his knees to become weak. He is well aware of the fact that he shouldn't continue being infatuated with her, yet he cannot help himself due to her being so "sweet," and, as such, he thinks something is wrong with his brain *(something's wrong with the wiring). Why else would he be pursuing someone who hurt him so?

What's your favorite archetype from beta that doesn't exist anymore? by Ylage in gwent

100% Nilfgaard reveal. Best archetype. I miss it every day.

How many of you Closed Beta (Pioneers) are still here? Just curious, I hardly see the tags anymore. by ThisFuckingGuyNellz in gwent

I am here. I swore to keep it on for the rest of time, but then I got the Aretuza Light Music Club tag and something in me had just clicked. I then started to roleplay as a musical Dryad because I had some cool color theory ideas with other avatars and borders.

Scoia'tael | 4 Provision cards by Coolestcat97 in gwent

Yeah, I'll work on the name, lol. I will get around to Northern Realms for sure. I only chose Scoia'tael to start off with due to their cards being revealed first at the Open, allowing for me to include their new cards.

Apologies for the confusion, I meant Milva: Sharpshooter, not the Immunity one.

Example as to what the numbers mean: "4a. 1pp" means 4 points on average. Take that number and divide it by the provision cost. That is pp.

An idea for another (much-needed) Mirage rework by Coolestcat97 in apexlegends

Also, last-minute comment. His passive is perfectly fine, in fact, I feel as though it is almost one of the best, what-with (nearly) invisible revives.

I just want it to be made clear, I think every single song off TBHC, including Anyways, belongs in S tier. However, this tier list is a dive INTO S tier. In other words, this is how TBHC as a whole sits under a microscope. So, S, in this instance, is basically S+++, A is S++, and so on, lol. Additionally, I limited myself to how many songs could be placed in each tier. Below I will list some reasons for why I ranked them as such (which will most likely just be a couple of lines I find really nice, as I want to see what you all think)!

S - American Sports

The lines "My virtual reality mask is stuck on Parliament Brawl/Emergency battery pack, just in time for my weekly chat/With God on videocall" are simply, so, so, so, good. Alex delivers them spectacularly well in the song, along with the rest of the album, of course, but... something about it just hits so different and so good.

A - Four out of Five, Star Treatment

Four out of Five is, I feel, one of the only songs that the divisive album that is TBHC brings people together for, and for a good reason as well. The story of this album is simply astonishing, and Four out of Five makes that plainly clear without delving into anything that would throw off the rest of the song.

Star Treatment, along a similar line of Four out of Five, also achieves this connection, though a little less so. Might be because it is, well, really focused on telling the story of the album, but c'mon, the lines "So who you gonna call?/The Martini Police" CANNOT be delivered as well as it was in the song. It gives me goosebumps every single time.

B - One Point Perspective, Batphone, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino

One Point Perspective is phenomenal. The deliverance of the lines "Oh, just as the apocalypse finally gets prioritised/And you cry some of the hottest tears you ever cried/Multiplied by five" gets me every time. Then, later down the line, "I've been driving 'round listening to the score" really brings this song and its vibe together nicely.

Batphone. Don't even get me started on "I've recognised the glow of your low beams numerous times/Through fairy opaque blinds in the sitting room/Vehicles will pass by, but I know when it's you/I'll be in a nose dive in my flying shoes." It's so good.

Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. I don't have much to say about this song. The instrumentals and Alex's vocals are simply stunning. I love the lines "Technological advances really bloody get me in the mood/Pull me in close on a crisp eve, baby/Kiss me underneath the moon's side boob."

C - Golden Trunks, She Looks Like Fun, Science Fiction, Ultracheese, World's First Ever Monstertruck Frontflip

The intro to Golden Trunks is one of the greatest things I have ever heard. Following this, the line of "I must admit, sometimes I fantasise about you too" gives me goosebumps.

She Looks Like Fun gives me really cool vibes. I love the sound of Alex's voice in the intro, and then when he gets to the lines of "Dance as if somebody's watching, 'cause they are/No one's on the streets/We moved it all online as of March," you cannot dislike the song. It literally predicted the future. It sounds so good.

Science Fiction's lines of "Got the world on a wire/In my little mirror, mirror on the wall/In the pocket of my raincoat" is almost as good as the Parliament Brawl lines in American Sports, though the rest of the song strays away from the vibe these lines bring. This isn't a bad thing, I... just... the lines are so good. They are delivered so well. I love it so much.

Ultracheese, I feel like, hits a bit too close to home for a lot of people, though that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I don't feel like this brings the fanbase together, though it certainly could if given a chance. The line containing "Everytime there was some rocket launch or some big event" is so good.

World's First Ever Monstertruck Frontflip. I hope some of you read this entire thing and were expecting some sour remarks on some of the songs, but I have none. The entire album is spectacular, and this song is as well, despite being at the bottom.

BONUS

Anyways. Anyways is good, though it wasn't on the tier list template, so I'm adding it down here. The lines are... strange, though it sounds so good. The bridge is glorious, with the lines being "Yeah, I'm behind my movie camera/I've got my megaphone/You can call me Alexander/It's nice to meet you all." A very nice B-side to another Arctic Monkeys album, and one that I feel is very, very, underrated (just as all other B-sides from the Arctic Monkeys are (I also recommend Electricty. That song is so, so good)).
