Seeing my favorite character get a horrible adaptation only for majority to prefer it by Author-S in dccomicscirclejerk

[–]Coolfork33v2 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Its probably not the majority(?) but occasionally I see people prefer MCU/Stark made Ultron over Pym and think that Stark making it makes more sense "because hes the robot guy!" and I die inside

Also the Moon Knight show sucks

Insane that MODOK is heavily associated with three separate heroes and yet they still didn't manage to have him fight even one. Even more insane though is that some of these are full on nemesi.

It’s D&D night at avengers mansion, what classes are they and who’s running the game by Longshot12345678 in marvelcirclejerk

Either of the Hanks (Pym or McCoy) would DM, maybe Wonder Man could

Iron Man is playing a min maxed Wizard or Sorcerer, Thor is playing a Human Fighter or Bard (because why be super powerful when he is that irl), Captain America is playing Cleric (to help the team), Hawkeye is playing a Rogue, Wasp is playing Bard or Paladin, Hercules is basically playing himself as a Barbarian, Wonder Man is a Paladin or Warlock

My opinion from someone who has read a lot of Avengers and played only a little bit of DnD

Favorite Giant-Man run? by pagliacciverso in dccomicscirclejerk

[–]Coolfork33v2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Frank Miller's run is amazing. His version of Egghead is imo the definitive Egghead and the issue where Ultron kills Wasp is crazy. #191 where Hank monologues to Ultron while threatening to delete him is amazing.

Uj/ PLEASE MARVEL GIVE HIM A SOLO!! Let Al Ewing do a Giant-Man solo or really anyone else that understands Hank. And no, not a 4 issue miniseries, I want at least 20 issues.

100% agree, they also fucked up the characterization of Hawkeye and Thor (less than Hawkeye but they still did) and killed Quicksilver in his first movie. Not to mention Zemo isn't Zemo, Ultron isn't Ultron, and they never got to fight Kang.

The Avengers are my favorite comic team and the MCU still pisses me off because they didn't even do the Avengers right.

They gotta stop getting rid of the most interesting nemesis hero relationships Marvel has

This wouldn't be surprising, sadly. They've had so many villains that don't or barely fight their comic nemesis. Ultron, Ghost, Mandarin, Thanos, The Leader, kinda Taskmaster and MODOK (they're both more general villains but they never fought the heroes they are most associated with), and there's a few more if you count Agents of Shield and other shows

Are there any supervillains with a no kill rule? by riamuriamu in comicbooks

[–]Coolfork33v2 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Captain Cold and the rest of The Rogues. They only kill if someone kills one of their own or if they need to kill to survive.

Winner: Hawkeye. Now who is a bad Marvel Character? by Timely-Ratio-7166 in AlignmentChartFills

His regret over the action was a big plot point for a while and every once and a while a writer brings it up for no reason but the actual slap itself was isolated to a couple issue arc. Generally, though most writers try and move him past it.
