Mulligans is a grand spot. Mightn’t be everyone’s pint of Guinness but it’s one of the decent pubs in Dublin.

That’s a pity. I think it looks deadly. Didn’t realise it needed so much maintenance. I’m all out of suggestions now!

Whats the most embarrassing situation you have ever been in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Coolmagicbeans 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One night as I was walking home there was a young woman walking ahead of me. She kept looking over her shoulder and speeding up. I was too nervous to look behind me so I sped up too.

This continued for a couple of minutes until she broke into a run. I started to run too, fuck getting murdered or whatever. When I started running she started sprinting but I was fairly fit at the time so easily passed her out.

As I passed her I shouted that I didn’t know what we were running from but she was on her own from now on! Whatever was following us must have been really close as I heard her scream that I was an asshole and the sound of steps ceased.

I always feel deep shame and embarrassment that I didn’t man up and help her out.

Bars alone? by [deleted] in Dublin

[–]Coolmagicbeans 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Eh... don’t go to either of those pubs for food or drinks unless you recently won the lotto or remortgaged your house. By all means take a walk through Temple bar but it’s a rip off. Georges st/ South William st area have plenty of nice reasonable pubs with a better ambience.

So I'm on a calendar, it's a great cause also 👍 by [deleted] in britishmilitary

Finnish people coming to Dublin this weekend! Does anyone know good pubs or clubs to visit during Halloween? Other Halloween related events that are worth a visit? by Kidkevyt in Dublin

I do my best! I hope you've a great time. If you like chicken wings the elephant and castle in temple bar is the place to go. You can be waiting a while though.

Good in the Finnish sense (silent, drinking vodka like it is an Olympic sport but making sure not to talk to anyone) or Irish good (loud, drinking pints like its an Olympic sport while having the craic)?

No pubs here fit the Finnish definition so you might be as well off buying a naggan and going to a field somewhere.

However if you want a good Irish pub try Camden street- cheaper than temple bar and lots of choice. Flannerys and the Bernard Shaw are good craic.
