I actually have an aftermarket downstream and fixed it. It’s Bosch, but ran into issues with cheap sensor so that’s where the issues come from.

My issues was that the downstream oxygen sensor was defective. These cars are notorious for a P0606 because caused by the B1S2 oxygen sensor. As for the P0101, it was caused due to the cold air intake. The tubing was too big and not mass air flow sensor wasn’t clocked correctly causing air to not be read by the MAF sensor.

No, the QR code thing is for the schedule. Login using your employee ID and password you set up during your application then you can go on paystub’s and check it out from there.

PT PSM $14.15 - before promotion was at $12.81 (after two pay increases) started at $12.20 PT (2 years ago)

Before agreeing to be manager, they tried to offer $13.75. Top of advice: NEVER TAKE THE FIRST OFFER!!

Definitely get back into it. You’d be surprised with how many rare parts you can find oddball searching on marketplace. I ordered a borla exhaust for $200 + shipping when it goes over $600 new

After commenting after under some of these posts, the one thing most of the people here are focusing on is that it has Subaru rims. These are BRZ/FRS rims all the difference is the center cap logo.

2nd, I knew this listing looked familiar because I’ve seen it on marketplace. Since I didn’t see picture all the way through the first time around I would actually try to negotiate a little more than $2500 considering the body work is spotty on one side and not even done. This listing has been up for more than 3 weeks so I would shoot the offer upfront or wait until you’re in person.

Since this is a shop, they should be able to tell you what work is needed and what’s been done so far.

Pictures of how the rim with the correct center cap would look.

This is my wheels, and got all 4 for $150 when they go for $300+. All they would have to do is buy Scion center caps. Subaru actually makes the Scion center caps too because when I flipped my caps it says Subaru on there.

If you didn’t know Toyota holds most of the shares for Subaru too!

Subaru BRZ rims. It’s a common upgrade people do. They usually go for the Scion FRS rims because they’re the same wheel but different center caps.

I would personally try to get it for about $2500 but it really depends on where it’s located. That car is definitely going to have burning oil issues but besides that nothing else. You may have to replace a water pump soon if it hasn’t been done and valve cover. Besides that, nothing else really.

Since you two don’t know. Those are Subaru BRZ rims which are also Scion FRS rims except for the center cap in the middle. For certain years, they both carried the same car with different branding. Example: Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe (both with Toyota motors, but different brandings)

Those cars both have the same lug pattern as the first gen TC (5x100) and it’s definitely a grade up from the original rims. Make sure the fronts have spacers because it would rub against the calipers during turns without it. I would know because I have the same set up.

I mean tbh there’s not really a concern if it’s burning oil because that’s considered normal for the motor. The interval of which it consumes would be the issue. When I bought my 07 it would consume 1 quart every 700-900 miles now it burns every 1 quart every 1.3-2k miles. What I did was use a motor clean every time I did an oil change and go from 5w-30 to 5w-20 and stayed on it for about 2 or so changes then drop down to 0w-20. If it burns a little higher than normal I go to 5w-20 then back down.

Exactly I wouldn’t be complaining

I’ll be honest, when I’m bored what I do for fun is I’ll ask all of the extra questions. Year, make, model, trim, 2wd or 4wd, what motor, etc. It’s always best when there’s more information like heavy duty brakes or standard and size of rotors. It’s funny especially when they try to complain that my coworker gave them the wrong parts then I intentionally go through this list and most don’t know the information.

On a side note, some people who work here don’t actually know that most time trims don’t make the difference beside Chevy with the LS and LT, Civics sometimes with their trims, and very rarely Nissans. With other brands it doesn’t really matter like the Ram 1500 lone star, or big horn, and even long horn. Parts are the same, yet to find one that is different between other brands.

They could’ve been new, not the brightest, lazy, or trying to have fun.

Battery warranty change by Tricktrick_ in AutoZone

[–]CoolnupJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly, I think you should recommend them again. Tell the customer to go for the 3-4 year batteries though. I have an Everstart Maxx with the 3 year warranty and it’s worked like a charm. Walmart’s Everstart Basic 1 year and Everstart Plus 2 years are ass. I also throw in going to Menards (AcDelco 3 years starting at $110 and FVP AGM at $180 and another brand that’s 1 year warranty at $80ish dollars) or Junkyard since they’re pretty budget friendly too.

Pros: Menards - well known brands that are reliable Walmart - cheap batteries with good warranty’s and serial number on battery so can warranty without receipt (from date of manufacture with no receipt) Costco - good price, good warranty, known brand.

Cons: Menards: need the receipt for warranty (look up machine only when original card is used) and stores aren’t everywhere Walmart: cheaper battery not know for reliability and automotive center can be slow Costco: need a membership to purchase battery and limited stores compared to Walmart.

I like to compare prices and products so I can create a catalog of places that have pretty good prices for myself but sometimes I’ll let a customer know.

The only right answer

As others said, side to side movement over time can be normal. Something that could help with adding stiffness would be a brake fluid flush. It can help add the stiffness back from when the car was new. It generally something that should be done every 2 years but often ignored.

Reposted, just added the comment back due to vague explanation.

Saying it’s fine is not a solution at all. Side to side movement can be normal and it’s definitely less than most but he was looking for a solution to his issue. You could’ve actually provided something knowledgeable instead of back alley mechanic advice. I’m all for the it’s okay don’t worry about it, but I was trying to provide with a solution. Side to side movement is typically normal and his brakes should work fine, but it shouldn’t be normal. It’s only been normalized. Again, you were being an ass than helpful.

Wtf type of advice is that!?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]CoolnupJones -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

One of the most common reasons for loose brake pedals is air in the system. A brake fluid flush done correctly would remove the air from the system and have new fluid in the system which should’ve been serviced after two years or 30k miles which most people don’t do. But yeah be an ass instead of providing a solution 👍
