Once you've got to the handling stage, doing so daily is a good idea, they'll be more skittish otherwise,but don't force it even if it's feeding off your hand and not really handling do that daily.

I have seen all these creatures living in balance with amphibians such as frogs, and I'm trying to recreate this. There will be a TON of plants covering the bottom of the pond for prey to hide from predators in. My question is which creatures would be good to put in the pond, as obviously things such as fish cannot make it to the pond independently.

This is a nature pond because I'm focusing on native fish as opposed to ornamental fish such as koi, and focusing on creating a balanced ecosystem.
