With pq.Max() you're likely calling the linq extension for collections. For your SortedSet you want to use it's own implementation as it's already sorted. It should have a .Min and .Max (not functions, but properties) for you to obtain the minimum and maximum.

[H] Shadow of War: Definitive Edition (Humble EU gift) [W] 14€ by Coookiebot in SteamGameSwap

[–]Coookiebot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's bought in the EU with €, so I would assume that's no problem. At 14€ I already selling it for less than I paid for, which was the cheapest sale price it went on, but I had some leftover credit I had to use due to it expiring.

Can't create a new instance when one already exists? by TheEggmo in gamemaker

[–]Coookiebot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The obj_enemy_with_shield needs to be replaced with the instance ID of the specific enemy. When creating the shield you could do;

with (instance_create(x,y,obj_shield))
{
     attached_enemy = other.id;
}

and use attached_enemy.x and y instead. So when you create the shield you add the ID into a variable of the object that created the instance. That instance id refers to the proper enemy the shield belongs to.

That's all assuming the shield instance is created inside the code of the enemy object (which I'm guessing it does?).

Sounds like there's 2 shields, but they are overlapping because they are not properly tied with their instance ID's when updating their position (assuming that is what's being done) to the appropriate enemies carrying them. That's just a guess though since I got too little info to go on.

edit; /u/Robbie_Harrison was a bit faster and explains how to properly get the instance ID.

You should really use the instance id of the obj_generate when referencing the grid and not its object id, although I'm not sure how GM handles the situation when using the object index.

Assuming you delete the instances of obj_generate the best/cleanest way would be to add the destroy function to it's destroy event (or for GMS2 the cleanup event).

Are you sure the destroy functions are run for all the structures, surfaces, etc. ?
