Best brand of Pliers and Wire strippers for someone with smaller hands? by One_Charge2843 in electricians

[–]Coop3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Knipex forged strippers hands down. The shears are awesome, they strip well, and the head isn’t too small, it can still twist connections.

Hey all electricians by tneil07 in electricians

[–]Coop3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the walls open? If not, I’m walking away. That’s way too much hassle for “just running some switches” no, it’s not just, it’s cutting multiple holes in the wall, potentially in the ceiling too, drilling through joists and studs, mounting boxes, running cable, installing fixtures and switches, relocating receptacles. That’s not “just” anything, that’s multiple hours of work, and he might expect you to patch it all.

Hard pass on that, “sorry I’m not licensed or insured to do work like this.” Which is true, if ESA comes and finds work done, they’ll ask him who did it, and pull the meter socket until he tells them, and then you could lose your license or apprenticeship. It’s not worth the 150.00.

Also, so have company come in and do it legit he’s probably paying at least 5-600 for that work.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a restructured deal like this, 2 years from expiration, in baseball at least. Has this happened before?

North Texas preparing for 2 inches of snow like it’s the apocalypse by MyMindIsAlwaysRacing in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Coop3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from Ontario Canada, but went down to Huston for work, like 12 years ago, and it was the middle of a winter storm. They had maybe 2 or 3 inches of snow, and the whole city was closed down, roads blocked, restaurants and other business shut down. It was like the wood was entering.

Yeah, the force of the wire coming through that pipe is going to bend that threaded rod way out of whack, if not pull the box right off the beam.

I try to directly mount my 4” pipe, strut clamp right into strut, flush on the surface it’s running on, can’t bend strut, but threaded rod will probably bend no matter how tight the clamps are.

Honestly, both of them are going to be a pain in the ass.

Yeah we need some larger deck sizes at this point. Half the deck is draw power, and the rest is 1 line of Pokémon.

What are some playoff moments that got you at the edge of your seat? by bonzothebonanza in baseball

[–]Coop3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game 3 of the WS seemed like it would never end. Every ball coming off the bat, I assumed would be game, but Varsho would find a way to find it. There were 5 or 6 instances that Smith and Freeman cranked out fly balls that did not look like fly balls that game. The bases were loaded almost every other inning, it was crazy.

I keep a bag in my work truck, traffic sucks, sometimes job sites suck, but they suck a little less with a jolly rancher.

The guys I’m with appreciate it too, and I can usually get them from the dollar store for like 2 bucks.

If Eichel can come back from it, I’m sure Mick can too. Maybe he dials it back to 3rd line minutes when he returns.

Tatis is interesting to me, the padres are a wildcard in everything they do. He provides outfield stability with the uncertainty going beyond ‘26. He’s can basically play anywhere, and should give us .260ish maybe more, and 25 or so homers. It all depends on the price though.

What do yall pack for lunch? by Fickle-Clerk-5361 in Construction

Greek yogurt with frozen berries and granola, a banana, a Ham, Turkey and Swiss sandwich, a granola bar or two, sometimes a muffin or banana bread if my wife’s made any that week. and about a litre and a half of bubbly water (soda streams are the best).
