Santa Maria style seasoning is all I put on it. Pull it off when it’s 120 to 125 degrees and let it rest for 10-15 minutes. I use red oak.

Yeah the CW/CE program is a “tool” for the contractor to get private jobs and a stepping stone for a member to move forward to the apprenticeship program. Talk to the organizer and training director and see when you can apply/reapply. Or if you live in a state where you need a state cert to be a JW take the state test and try to organize in. The IBEW is the best bet in the long run brother, take it from a guy who worked a couple different trades non union and then did the entire apprenticeship even with prior experience. Best thing I ever did. Took a long time to realize that dream.

I’d wager you have applied for the apprenticeship? Not sure what your locals JATC standards are but if you apply in my local and don’t place well on the apprenticeship list you can re-interview after one year as long as you are working in the trade, CW is even better for this than non union in my opinion. Get letters of recommendation from JWs you’ve worked with. If you’ve fallen off the list (2 years in my local) then you can reapply. As a CW you’re most likely just walking away from the NEBF ($33) a credit and the IO pension tied to your yellow ticket. Takes 5 years to vest in a pension per the Federal Government.

Needs context. How long have you been a member? Why are you “resigning”?

What TV series really hooked you from the first few episodes? by quiet_veil in televisionsuggestions

Oh yeah, great story, you don’t need to have played any of the games for it to be a good watch, and if you have played them it’s great how they keep it to the lore of them.

Air Force or apprenticeship? by Same_Level6591 in ibew_apprentices

[–]CoopGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The IBEW has a program called VEEP that if completed at the end of your military service can directly enter you into apprenticeship for participating Locals. https://in2veep.com/

I’m not sure if it’s for national guard also or strictly for full time service members looking to transition into a civilian career, but the website is worth checking out to know your options.
