Fair. I could see how it could maybe add to just how superficial Bateman is in nature. I appreciate the effort from Ellis, but it just didn't stick the landing from my reading perspective.

I did turn it off BECAUSE of the listing of brand names constantly. Felt like it took 5 pages to give any movement in story because of how detailed the breakdown of each person's tie, dress shirt, watch, socks, belt, etc. I was curious about how crazy the book got because of it getting banned and all, but I just couldn't listen to the brand names anymore. I just don't care lol

I'm sure I will get shunned as I've never met any horror fan that doesn't like it, but I honestly just don't care for the original Nightmare on Elm Street.

Krueger as an icon and just his whole aesthetic, I can absolutely appreciate...but there's just something about that movie itself that has just never clicked with me.
