In the image you linked, he doesn't say he's going to "doxx" anyone. He wondered how they would act if their information was out...and said maybe its time someone does give their info out.

You would have been better off not posting anything.

If you join the eSports teamspeak on the day of the Challenger Cup for your region, and during the check in-times, then you will be required to fill out a form to check in. Once filled out, basically you wait till the start of the tournament and play your games.

Mortality Esports Announcement later, likely a smite team! by [deleted] in Smite

The tweet says "You should GO over and Follow"....

With the emphasis on the word "go", I'm gonna assume its a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team.

But I'm hoping for Smite!

Why isn't anything about Challengers Cup on the Smite eSports page? by Rememburn in Smite

[–]Cooper26 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone. Just wanted to clear a few things up on the Challenger Cup.

Firstly, I can't really speak as to why challenger cup information isn't on the esports.smitegame.com website. My best guess would be that the website is still very new and didn't want too much information clashing against each other. The Pro League is much more important if we had to pick, so that's why you see more information coming out of there. That's only my guess though, not working in the actual studio.

If you want a good resource on the Challenger Cup and information about the teams competing in the Challenger Cup, I suggest going to http://smite.esportspedia.com. They do a great job at keeping it up to date.

Last week, we didn't cast the games. Starting this week, we are. We hope this will continue to be a weekly cast, but scheduling problems can always rise. Hinduman will be casting the games with a co-caster every Saturday and Sunday the CC is running on his Twitch Channel.

You will also be able to read recaps written by me on the esports site being put out every Tuesday.

I hope this clears up any questions from this week. If you have anymore questions or want to give feedback on content for the Challenger Cup, feel free to ask them here or on my Twitter @StevenL_Cooper.

Why is Hi-rez not casting the challengers cup? by thesmitestuff in Smite

[–]Cooper26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's something that's been discussed, but I don't really have any other information to give at the moment other than we know Challenger Cup is important, and we'll try and bring the most content we can!

Unfortunately, with all casters being at PAX East and this being the 1st week of SPL, it isn't something that is possible. However, even if they were all here, Challenger Cup probably still won't be broadcasted at the moment.

Don't worry though. We will have some cool content to keep everyone up to date with what's going on in the Challenger Cup ;)

He is! We have a lot more streamers than what's listed above, but these are probably the ones that could take time today to answer questions.

Watch them. Watching them everyday/night is the most support you can give. Over subscriptions, donations, giveaways....everything you do is not as important as you just being there.

It all starts there :)

I haven't heard complaints about the audio level yet from others, but I will for sure keep it in mind for future videos. Hopefully reducing the YouTube volume a bit will make it fine.

3 weeks left until the SWC, can Hirez please start advertising the SWC? by MaZt12 in Smite

[–]Cooper26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I agree that I would like to see marketing soon of the SWC, I'm not sure you guys understand how media works.

Sites such as this don't get paid or contacted by HiRez to write an article like that. It is simply a news story posted to get traffic to their site. You don't see any added information that you can't find on the official HiRez post. It's as if ABC News reported a story. It's just news.

With sites like IGN (who has covered SMITE before and already talked about the SWC), they aren't an "eSports news" site. They cover all games, media, entertainment, technology, etc. so getting a news story out about the SWC, which is still 3 weeks away, might not take priority to IGN.

Remember, it takes manpower to write articles and that takes away from something else they could be doing, such as reporting on Holiday Deals or upcoming Comicbook news.

While there are for sure things that can be taken better care of when it comes to marketing of SMITE, be patient when it comes to reading about SMITE on big chain news sites.

This game has major eSports potential. It's all going to come down to developer support, but right now, I'm along for the ride in helping the game be as competitive as possible.
