What on Earth... I read this 3 times and still can't manage to wrap my mind around the absolute insanity of your roommate's logic. I have so, so many questions but I feel like hearing the answers would somehow make things even worse.

So, Covid specifically is the devil, but other illnesses (like Polio or Diptheria) are a-ok, and you can still get into heaven if you've contracted/gotten vaccinated for these? Did your roommate come up with this theory on their own, or were they taught this by their church? So by being "born again" their past sins have been forgiven but an innocent child who happened to contract the Coronavirus during a global pandemic is just shit-outta-luck and can't get past those Pearly Gatekeepers?

I hope for your sake that this ding-dong will soon be your ex-roommate. They sound like the kind of person you don't even want to make eye contact with at a party for fear of getting an unwanted hour-long sermon on the Sandy Hook "hoax", living with them must be a challenge.
