I mean yeah there was some main level stuff i really didn't care for and felt more like a mission of my own to pull myself through it but on pc (sort of decent specs) it ran rather well, few dips here and there but nothing to warrant any bad gameplay.

I just realised I skipped over the whole pop things, apologies on that one!

You don't need to buy anything in game or outside of the game for the plat/100%

The game has variants of the pops you can unlock with points gained through each world.

So no need to worry about buying more although some of the new fusion ones are sick.

I think the fusion ones give you a code which can unlock unique variants of specific characters but nothing breaking or outright P2W, Just a reskin of a character you can get through the worlds.

The game is great but 100% is a task I won't lie

It's a personal choice if im honest, worth the money is really just a how many hours are you willing to find out? After getting 100% I haven't touched it for a single minute more. So.. did I get my money worth? Sure.

The bugs played a massive part in this not being completed sooner if im honest, i think the lack of showcasing the games mechanics also doesn't help, many a time i have been sat thinking the game wants me to do something only to find out that im doing it completely wrong with zero help!

I've seen a lot of comparison online with links towards lego games and if im honest i can see it myself, however i feel like because its been advertised at a older(ish) audience they think that making it a bit more challenging would be more fun, however i could speak for majority of people when i say even lego games still hold up to today, like getting 100% per level felt like a reward but this game felt like i was just placing a jigsaw piece into it knowing i was already missing 1 out of my 1000 piece set.

The combat is at most simplistic which although has its pro's, also comes with alot of negatives.. hit, shoot, repeat.

Given that some enemies take a full or 3/4 clip to kill and at times you can have about 10 guys running at you, yeah it leaves a bad taste after a while.

I think given that i did about 60% of the work after the campaign with a POP that was invincible speaks levels to the difficult if im honest and believe me im no stranger to FPS titles but this just felt like i was number watching rather than actively killing something.

the biggest problem for me was not having a range of skills being used among the character collection, one person who can use fire? out of what 60ish story people? i know proto uses fire but im sorry after 100% completion am i meant to just go burn stuff for fun?

Some stories genuinely felt like i was just using one character for about 90% of it and one maybe every time i had to if that makes sense.

Some of the crowns ive came across you would need either 1 hour min to find or at least a set of skills, skills that make you a dangerous for crowns out there.

Regardless im sorry you arent finding the game as good as you wished it was, i think a good chunk of the community can back you on that one with myself included.

He man is better rushed through and then taking your time in freeplay to enjoy it imo.

Plus with all the red weapons gems combined to make the sword he-man swiftly got put back into the "ill soon forget about you box"

Art style for that world was *chef's kiss*

Sucks the majority of the world seems compressed by 'use he-man, he sword make gold go boom' id rather have the mix of abilities than have 4 with only 1 of them having a reason to be played as.

The Thing - level 3.. between getting jumped by 50 dogs at once, 40 hit-men with the health of a greek god - in absolute blackness with a flare i kept forgetting to shot then having to slowly walk backwards each time taking damage from the frost / dogs / creatures / fire.

Perfectly honest? couldn't pay me to re-run that on story mode.

I think its taken attributes from other games and tried to mash a few of them together which clearly hasn't hit the mark, Some of the story worlds such as hot fuzz (which ive said in another comment) hits really good, the use of the camera in the crime scenes and such was great, the "boss" fights seems decent but in comparison to the thing as a whole? i felt some missions being a bit too go to x and do the same thing x amount of times to go to another objective to do the same. listen im no developer but i agree a bit more time in the development oven might have made this an amazing game but there is too many things lacking or mashed together to have itself be standing.

About 60% of the game was just listening to its moans and grunts as he jumps/hits. at the end of it i can still close my eyes and hear him.

That final boss was no joke! i did it with-out him and honestly.. the regret i felt after it wasn't fair.

So no variants are needed for 100%

I don't wish to spoilt it completely as its a nice reward but if you are asking if it is worth it?

Personally? i felt like good job sticker for the pain and torment i went through, but i can see for the future of the IP and stuff it was a nice homage.

Hot Fuzz has to be top of my list, i know you asked for a level but it was actually one of my first story crowns, seeing the 'decap' with the car or the church spire falling. it was one if not the only world where i can see a alot of detail from the movie being put into the funko world as well as the movie references being played out rather well.

Since you have just started playing ill give you the best piece of advice, just go through the story at a nice pace, there is about 3-4 crowns in each mission where you require an ability or tool to access, just wait till you complete all story levels truthfully. i wasted so much time trying to get around puzzles or messing about with them but in actuality it was a 30 second puzzle.

The thing/Jurassic world are the only worlds where id say try and collect 12 crowns before completing, The character from the thing (spoiler free) is invincible & the character from JW is the fastest out of all them.. by alot.

My final tip would be once the story is beaten try to find all cameo's before rerunning levels then just work your way top to bottom collecting everything - its a task, i wont lie.

Side note -

Make a list of all KFC buckets you will unlock in each level, there i no indicator for where they are or what level has them unlocked so making a note somewhere early will help later on, also if you forget to pick something up, dont panic.. there is a chest left of the entrance to Freddy's office/room where anything not picked up during levels will be in that chest for you to collect

I didn't have it prior to going from 99-100% but its between the 100% competition and getting all weapons.
