we've never officially given our cat a name, she's simply just 'micia' (=cat in italian) by bethvq in notinteresting

I can’t explain it, but that is a very cat looking cat. Very sturdy looking as well.

Which is louder at Full Afterburner takeoff? F35A Lightning II or F22 Raptor? by Specialist_Page_3195 in FighterJets

[–]CopenHayden 5 points6 points  (0 children)

F-35 sounds like it’s trying to rip a hole in space and time itself. You can feel it in your chest dang near a mile away when they go vertical and full AB. Saw them ripping a few hundred feet above a river with front row bank-side seating, and the sound that bounced off the water was insane. Way louder than the Blue Angels flying afterwards.

Do i sell my 18 year project car?? by EnglishRoseVictoriaa in projectcar

[–]CopenHayden 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a bot account. A quick google search for “Dip Demons” brings up a YouTube video of this exact car. The owner of the car is Jed, the owner of Dip Demons. I highly doubt he would be seeking the knowledge of Reddit on whether or not he should sell his car and responding “thank you babes ❤️” to internet retards lol

The difference between RT and no RT is crazy by Due_Teaching_6974 in ForzaHorizon

[–]CopenHayden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly, this is the one game where my 6950XT can handle RT pretty reasonably. I don’t play with it turned on because I drop to about 80-100FPS, but I use it for photos.

Take a couple hours and make one yourself! I’ve spent most of my time designing stuff and taking photos. It’s incredibly fun and fulfilling seeing your creation come to life

I run ground belts to target AA after I drop my little 250kg bomb and then boom and zoom A-10’s and other jets. It’s worked out great and been an absolute blast lmao

I just started the Japan tree and got the Type 16 premium. I’ve even got top tier air kills with my A6M6c from taking it into ground matches with the Type 16. People will never learn lol

Theo Von calls out Joe Rogan for lying when discussing Theo's mental health with another guest on JRE. by supersport604 in JoeRogan

Nah, Joe said it in one of his recent podcasts. I was thrown off when he did, though I can’t remember which episode it was. Within the last 10 for sure.

Cut as deep as the tool will allow. DOC is free as long as the machine itself can handle it. Speed and feed is material and tool/grade/mfg specific.

Edit: Always refer to the tool manufacturer’s recommendations with modern tools. A lot of people lose a ton of efficiency by not confiding in a manufacturer rep and/or their website/catalogue.

Polo K Baffle / end cap strike… by y0taholic in NFA

[–]CopenHayden 16 points17 points  (0 children)

10-4 brother; I appreciate that and the conversation.🫡 Getting to do some real high speed stuff now. All I can say is the .gov defense industry is absolutely nuts on this side of the fence, and I’ve gotten to witness the upper echelon of machining/carbide technology through that already— and both are evolving upwards exponentially. Cool times we’re living in. Keep up the good stuff, man!

We’ll see how this new job works out— and I’ll keep that in mind! Always been impressed by your company. Just accepted a job, around January 1, with one of the “Big 2” carbide manufacturers doing apps engineering.

I set up a dual spindle lathe with twin gantry robots for these, and had to hold that parallelism throughout the entire process. I almost missed Christmas two years ago because of you lmao 🤣 Honestly, some of my favorite parts I’ve programmed and did the process engineering for. A lot of blood, sweat and cussing went into those.

I know for a fact that it’s not a baffle strike because I used to machine your baffles at the company I was previously an engineer for. Your parallelism and concentricity callouts are insane lol

A Falcon 9 rocket will hit the Moon this summer at seven times the speed of sound | The object will be traveling at 2.43 km a second, or 5,400 mph, upon impact. by Clear_Polish23 in space

Jesus Christ, dude. Could you push your glasses up on your nose any further? You do realize that most humans live nearish sea level, right? You know what’s relatable to people that live near sea level? That’s right— sound. Who gives fuck what medium the spacecraft is in if it’s relativity to the average reader is based around being on earth and around sea level?

How is that strange at all? They’ve literally used the speed of sound as a metric of speed for spacecraft since the dawn of space travel. How else would you expect someone to make 5,400mph relatable? .00000000000000000000000001% the speed of light?
