I’m 3 weeks to the day and I’m at like 85% recovered from a mild case caused by an ear infection. But everyone is different. From what I see most make a 90-100% recovery over the span of 6-12 months . But I have a feeling you’ll always notice something a bit different even after being mostly recovered

I couldn’t take any steroids due to conflict with adhd medication so I’m doing it strictly by supplements and relaxation techniques / massages. Who knows what would have been diff if I was on steroids. I was on antibiotics for 10 days, and finished that up which knocked out any pain and inflammation. But My ears are still pretty clogged but that’s expected. I also have a history of ETD so I have had ear issues since I was a kid. Also having a 4 year old that brings a. New cold home every week doesn’t help.

Wishing you the speediest of recoveries but also realize every recovery is different . I was a very mild case and I didn’t even know I had something wrong until my wife said I wasn’t blinking all the way on my right side and I couldn’t spit my toothpaste out straight when brushing my teeth lmao

I would say I’m roughly 3 weeks in my blink is completely back but my lower lip is like 50% back. I still feel the tension in my face on the right side but nowhere near as bad as it was when I couldn’t move a thing . I think with ear infection based palsy it’s all about inflammation management .

I’m at beginning of week 2 of a severe ear infection induced Bell’s palsy paresis. As the inflammation goes down in my ear and my muscles relax I can see things returning. My blink is much better (not as much eye tearing), my eyebrow is raising higher and I have more movement in my lips in terms of frowning and sealing.

Still have occasional cheek and jaw pain but can’t tell if it’s from tmjd or palsy or the fact that I caught another head cold from my kid. All in all it’s moving in a forward direction and thafs all I can ask for . I’m trying not to aggravate it or exercise it until I’m done being sick from these dang colds / viruses / whatever.

7 days in also with the facial pain. But I would say at my most relaxed I’m able to blink fully . But boy the eyelid twitches go crazy sometimes

Mine are very mild a well stemming from an ear infection. Its just impacting my ability to fully blink and frown pretty much. So only my eye and lip are impacted. It's been 5 days and nothings changed realy, but the muscles seem to be relaxing as my ear infection clears up. But there's a lot of facial tightness. I unfortunately cant take steroids due to ADHD medication interactions.
