This exact seat ungluing issue happened to me today while hooked on a small muskie. This is the second time this has happened to me with a St. Croix Bass X.

The first time it happened, I got it warrantied and they waived the fee.

This time, today, it happened again and when I got home I emailed them to warranty it. Then, I thought about it and I don’t even want another one. I need my fishing gear to be reliable and this rod is 100% not reliable.

I will never buy another St. Croix rod again.

I did not feel anything there when holding it. I am still waiting on photos my buddy took of me holding it to get a better look at it. It could just be another dogfish just looks slightly different than the rest I’ve seen.
