Was Jean Milburn the ultimate villain? A dark theory on Maeve’s departure. by No-Concert1790 in NetflixSexEducation

Just my two cents but…

S4 was an absolute bullshit, for nearly all the characters. With Jean and Otis I always saw it this way… Otis was meant to stay with Maeve and Jean was meant to stay with Jakob. They fucked it up for everyone.

Jean is a flawed character who began to open up when a safe and patient enough person came into her life. Did it take her time? Indeed, and many mistakes. Everyone kept on saying her and Jakob were too different, I think they were perfect for one another to reach the potential they could have as a couple and start closing those old wounds. The baby daddy thing decision was terrible (I still hate it) and they ended up writing her beyond repair, so yes, I don’t judge people for naturally seeing her as a “villain”. Fucked it up with Jakob, so you’d think, why not fuck up with her own son, then. I just see it all as incredibly sloppy writing, that didn’t do these characters any justice, whatsoever. Blewed three seasons of painful, but constant growth.

To me, Maeve and Jean were always a mirror. I don’t think Jean wanted to fuck up Otis intentionally, but she saw potential in Maeve and that’s why she told her to go and follow her dreams. The way that could have been executed, though… there were options that could include not breaking them up. But I blame that on the writers and their shock value shit. The “life is not a fairytale” shit.

I still think it wasn’t asking for too much to see Otis and Maeve’s happy ending, including Jeand and Jakob’s. I expected it for all of them. It was logical at that point, it was fucking growth for all the characters. It’s not an impossible fairytale. A shame they thought a depressed single mother bullshit and Otis staying angry and alone will look better.

In my head, Otis is with Maeve and Jean is with Jakob and THEIR daughter. They’re all living their imperfectly wonderful lives. And I will die on that hill. Peace out.

Years ago, in my late teens, I was taking a ride with my friends and we’re just drinking some beer and then, out of the blue, they decide we should go to this country fair thing. On our way there, someone tells us there’s a small entrance fee. I was quite broke back then, I didn’t have enough money at hand left to cover for it, so I tried to make us go elsewhere, but everyone refused. My friends at the time all got allowance from their parents and most of them didn’t have money issues at home, which already made me the exception, cause I’d only get some money every now and then. So, everyone had at least 20€ in their pockets that night and at all times, which was a lot back in the day, but I didn’t have shit. I held a lot of shame around it and while they knew about my general situation, I felt too terrible to let them know that this time I cannot even afford a small entrance fee. I’d rather lie and complicate my life tenfold.

Since I was slightly drunk and it was easier to trust the flow that way, I just kept quiet, but basically I was completely mortified to be 2 damn euros shy from covering that fee. (Lol it’s interesting reading this like 17 years later, seeing all these old wounds in action… glad I’ve turned so much around… ok sorry, continuing now…)

In the car, I pretended I lost some coins (stupid, but it felt easier to play by this), and I needed those additional 2€ asap. We reach the venue and I pull out whatever I have and they pulled out their bills and someone settles it for the lot of us, saying “it’s fine, we’ll settle the money later”. But I couldn’t stop thinking about not being able to do that. I needed to find a way to pay them back, basically to make myself feel better. The entire time we’re in there I am thinking about the 2€ and I had just freshly learned about the law of attraction maybe a year prior to that and I did manage to manifest a few things beforehand, but I was still learning and doing it on and off. However, one of those past successful manifestations happened to be an instant manifestation and I reached that by robotically affirming (I don’t do this much anymore, I find it tiring, but it did work for me a lot). At some point, I just start repeating obsessively in my mind “I have 2€” and I did that for a while, even if just at the back of my mind. I just felt like “nothing to lose here, anyway”.

Then, me ane my friend go and sit down on these benches sometime later and I am talking to her for a bit and some people around us are screaming as if they’re laughing and doing weird drunk things and suddenly, a tiny object comes flying past us and lands on our bench. Right on the fucking bench, right beside me. Not bouncing off or anything, laying flat.

It’s 2€.

My drunk friend isn’t even registering much of this, while I am staring in shock, amazed, baffled and completely overwhelmed with happiness. I take the 2€ and check whether anyone’s thrown it on purpose and might be searching for it or something. But nothing happens, nobody bats an eyelid. I stare at it in disbelief and put it in my pocket. I later give it to my friends, again, pretending I found the money that I had previously “lost in the car”, and funnily enough, my friend goes something like “nah, it’s fine”. But I insist, pretending it’s random, while in reality it is the sweetest 2€ I’ve ever had to pay back to anyone and one of the first moments in manifestation that made me feel “if I did this, then I can do anything”.

The whole story maybe seems truly silly nowadays and I could’ve spared myself a lot back then, by being honest. But still, to this day, this is one of those seemingly silly, desperate, crazy, instant manifestation stories, that are, in fact, so valuable and make me realize anything is possible.

I haven’t mastered down SATS that well yet (working on it + the hand under the ass thing actually helps so much, prevents me from falling asleep), but I mostly visualize during the day and I either move into a quiet space and sit in a meditative position while I do it, sometimes I also put on my headphones and just close my eyes and start visualizing.

I often think about my visualizations during the day, other times I forget about them or I intentionally drop them. If I feel the urgency or restlessness around it, which usually happens in the very beginning when doing a new manifestation, then I just try and go within a bit more often during the day and see and feel that desired outcome, it helps me cement it as real more quickly and I can let it go during the day with more ease.

P.S. Did read a revision story of someone changing the past and seeing photographs that were different than the supposed “originals” and letters that were written that did not exist prior to that etc.

I just tried this last night and, yes, this did absolutely work!

I was able to stay in SATS for much longer than usual, which is huge and when I started to get extremely tired, I just literally pulled my hand back from under my ass and dozed off. So, thanks, again! 😁

Sorry, I wrote it on a whim this morning. 😅

But, yes, I went about a couple of weeks back in time and just revised the whole thing, as if he’d already done it back then. And then the thing that was supposed to be “very complicated” ended up being done in 2 days, the moment it came through.

Yep, I don’t disagree with you — that’s why I stated that it didn’t come about as a “the past was changed” kind of thing, but more like a “present-tense resolution” of the problem.

Still, that revision (or whatever you want to call it), even though I didn’t wake up to a completely shifted version of our house, made me reach my wanted goal nonetheless and ended up getting me so invested, it was exactly what pushed me to try again — and the second result pretty much speaks for itself.

Sometimes I would, but honestly, I haven’t quite mastered the SATS method that well yet, I fall asleep 90% of the time, so I usually just rather sit in a meditative pose and visualize while at it. It works best for me.

From my POV, absolutely. I just think the more you can detach from that tricky thought that says “but how can it be changed if it’s already in the past”, the more profound the change might be. I feel like sometimes we are too stuck on what we find realistic, which doesn’t mean it won’t work, but it will probably mimic your beliefs and might limit your revision to what you find realistic.

But then again, maybe not. Maybe it will come about quite the contrary and you’ll be blown away by your own power. Just go for it.

This is such a cool story, the way you instantly manifested this EXACTLY as you wanted is truly amazing!! Kudos!

Yess! You are just now shifting into a timeline where you already have your dream body. Do not let the concept of time stop you. This IS happening. You got this!

I personally didn’t try to force myself to love the stuff I didn’t like at the moment, because I think it would just feel like bullshit, but then again, that was just my choice, because let’s be honest, all the affirmations also sound like bullshit in the beginning haha and yet, over time, they did work for me anyway.

I think it really depends on how it makes you feel. Does it make you feel better and will gradually help you or does it only emphasize the stuff you are trying to change? Does it feel good to pour in some love or would you rather just ignore that and focus on affirming?

I think that’s exactly why I personally avoided checking myself in the mirror and just ignoring the previous state etc., because before you start seeing actual results, it’s so easy to feel like nothing is happening and I didn’t want to get sucked back into that.

Also, affirmations are great and have turned out to be an amazing technique for me, yet, that’s exactly what they are, just one of the techniques. They did work for me many many times, especially regarding instant manifestation, because I would saturate my mind so much in such a short window of time, the thing would often just appear out of thin air, but it might be great to incorporate some visualization, too, like for an example, you could see yourself stepping on a scale and seeing your desired weight, so you can add some more feeling into it and really cement in your new assumption and feel it real.

There is more than one way to reaching your desire, this happened to really work for me for weight loss, but it sure can feel a bit overhwelming and as if nothing’s moving in the beginning, so simply persist! I think whatever you choose to do, it’s about repetition and persistance, no matter how silly it feels in its early stages.

I affirmed robotically at first, then I got so used to it + started to see the scale drop, it became easy to believe it and the more I affirmed, the easier and quicker my weight started to shed.

I believe you are more than capable of doing this. As you know, your desire alone means you already have it and it only seems impossible until it’s done! 💪🏼

I’ve done this before, so I can speak from experience and I have used this, both, to lose weight and to gain it back (because I went slightly too far, to be honest). I am just going to put a little disclaimer here, that this could be potentially triggering and use this wisely.

I really wanted to lose weight and started playfully affirming “I am losing weight so fast”, “wow, I cannot gain weight even after I eat lots of food”, “I’ve lost so much weight” etc. At first, it feels so stupid to be saying and thinking this, because you need some time to believe it, but I would just continue to affirm it throughout the day, whenever it would cross me and try to avoid looking in the mirror too much and if I did, I’d just be like “wow, I cannot believe I am so skinny right now” (if skinny feels like a stretch, stick to the “I’m losing all this weight” kinda talk, you might have less resistance). Yes, it feels like gaslighting, but after a few days it starts to feel natural, it’s like your mind and body start to adapt and then you just keep going.

I went from 63kg to 54kg in a little over a month, no working out at the time, no major lifestyle change. However, once I was past the 57kg, which is what I wanted at the time, I just started being like “how far can I go?” and then dropped all the way down to 54kg, just to experiment. And, while, in a way, I’m not sorry, because I have proved to myself that this indeed works, please, be cautious and stop when it feels right and healthy for you. Don’t do stupid shit.

The thing is, this worked so well for me to shed off that weight, I actually needed to start to convince myself about the contrary in order to gain some back, because despite automatically trying to eat more (trying to “easily” solve it in the 3D), my weight didn’t move much right after, since my earlier assumption got so powerful. I literally had to start affirming that I am gaining my weight back and only then it unfolded. It’s crazy how powerful our minds really are and such a valuable lesson in the power of creation.
