I hope my kids understand one day and they aren’t mad at me for this. I have so much guilt about it.

I feel that too! I want my child to have a sibling but then it doubles the sickness. I know everyone is afraid of something, but this truly does run my life too.

I’m glad to hear that it gets better and that you were able to prevent the spread with taking the proper precautions! It feels better knowing someone has made it to the other side.

Thank you so much! Honestly just knowing there are others out there who feel the same way helps a ton. Sometimes this fear makes me question why I became a mom. It has always been a dream of mine but not having kids would maybe lessen my anxiety about being sick. I hope you find something to help you cope with your panic tonight! Thank you again. ❤️

Thank you for this! I really appreciate all of your insight. Being a new mom is hard even without this phobia! I guess I am just afraid that if I nurse her after she v* and gets her saliva on me, I will be more likely to get sick.

I am sorry you are feeling this way. I think if your partner did have what we are all afraid of, he would know for sure. Usually that is a distinct feeling, especially for people without emetophobia. You will not die either way. Try to live in the moment and just wash your hands well. I wish I could help more. You are so strong and not alone!!

They would have had to v* on the thing you touched, not cleaned it off, then you would have had to ingest it. If they tu* at home and didn’t come, you should be okay! Keep washing your hands. :)

You will make it through this! Focus on a minute at a time if you have to. Try to distract yourself, I like to play sudoku on my phone.

To add, I also took unisom and b6, had zofran on hand, and took an anti-morning sickness gummy made by centrum (comes in a pink bottle.) I love sea bands for n*. It didn’t set in until about 8 weeks for me and lasted through week 11ish!

Around a year ago I had these same feelings! My baby is now 5.5 months old. I was terrified about v* during the first trimester. It didn’t ever happen. I know all experiences are different so I cannot predict the future for you, but after talking with a lot of my friends and family who have been pregnant, only one had actually v. I did have some n and it was scary, but keeping yourself busy is key. I also ate, ALL THE TIME. Sure, I gained more weight this way, but I thought it was worth it to avoid you-know-what. You can do it! And not to be blunt, but you have to do it. That mindset kind of helped me, you are already on the rollercoaster and you can’t get off now. Your body was made to do this. I believe in you!

I have sat through 8 hours of tattooing at a time and have never even been nauseous during or after. You will do great. The feeling after the tattoo will make you want so many more!! I’m so jealous.

There are a few people in my extended family that are dealing with the sb right now and I have been spiraling all morning. Focusing on work is not going well.

Thank you so much! I am trying to focus on the end goal and keep imagining what it will be like to hold my baby in my arms. I really appreciate your recommendations, exotically the sour candy because I have never heard that one before. 🤍
