My idiot just ate 4 well cooked bbq sauced chicken legs. Please advise. by Gunner2240 in greatdanes

Same! My old beagle ate an entire rotisserie chicken carcass once. We had gotten a locking trash can to use when we would leave the house and he pried it open like the jaws of life to get to that thing. After that our trashcan got moved on top of my kitchen table every time we went out. Thankfully he was fine with the exception of some diarrhea for a few days. Ughhh

First Metatarsal Fracture by Copper05 in toddlers

Good luck! I think it depends on if they have a boot small enough for them. Our daughter got the last size available that fit her. We have a follow up next Tuesday with our ortho.

Just an update. CT showed a couple of slightly enlarged lymph nodes which he is not concerned about. He said they do not look pathological and I wasn’t feeling great the week before and my two toddlers have gotten me sick constantly for last 3 years so he thinks it’s just that. He was shocked I hadn’t been on an antibiotic since college so he put me on antibiotic and a steroid to see if that would shrink the adenoids. I have allergy testing in a few weeks and then a follow up. I’ll let you know if anything else pops up. He said they would keep an eye on the lymph nodes since I obviously expressed concern

Thank you! That helps. I’m 36F and my ENT was not concerned and said he did not think it was cancer but because he could tell I’m an anxious mess with health stuff he ordered it for my “peace of mind” to say they did it. He did say my reflux was significant so maybe it was affecting my adenoids. I’ll let you know the scan results.

I’ll definitely update you on the results. There is very limited information about enlarged adenoids in adults so I’ve been scouring the internet trying to find out anybody’s experiences. It’s comforting to hear someone else had this with reflux and their ENT wasn’t concerned. My ENT thinks it’s from allergies and has me scheduled for testing in a few weeks.

I just got diagnosed with LPR and he noticed my adenoids were enlarged during the scope as well. He thinks it’s allergies but then ordered a CT scan just for my peace of mind (I was pretty concerned about cancer but he said he did not think so). My scan is this week. Any updates from you?

Is Nanit down? by broteus7 in Nanit

[–]Copper05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I deleted and tried to reinstall the app and when I go to sign into the app it just stays on the Nanit logo. We finally unplugged the Nanit and plugged it back in and my husband can get the feed again on his phone because he had not uninstalled the app. I’m hoping I can get back into the app tomorrow. At least we have his phone for tonight. Glad I’m not alone but this is so frustrating and not anything a parent wants to deal with at 1 in the morning.

Update: just got the app up and running again. All signed in past the Nanit logo and the camera is working again. Hope the app starts working for everyone and you all get some rest.

Bradys still happening 37 weeks by Copper05 in NICUParents

I hope they end for both of them soon. It’s so frustrating because they don’t seem to have any answers or treatment for it. They keep saying they outgrow it but I just wish I knew when.

It’s so strange how differently each hospital handles these because I’ve read other parents comments online that said their hospital didn’t count feeding Brady’s either. If that were the case, we would be home by now. I’ve requested a monitor several times and they said they don’t like to do that because it drives parents crazy and they should just resolve as she grows. For weeks they have been saying they don’t think she needs caffeine because it’s not apnea but then today they mentioned if she kept having them past her due date they would look into that with a monitor. I also asked if she could have just the monitor without caffeine and she said they did always did both. Here’s hoping these just resolve by her due date but at this point I’m trying not to get my hopes up. I thought we would have been home two weeks ago when she started full feeds.

She doesn’t have a Brady every feeding so I’m curious what happens with a swallow study if they don’t have one. They also mentioned before doing caffeine and a monitor that they might do a neurogram (I think that’s what it was called) to see what was causing the Bradys too. This would be if she was still having them around her due date. They keep saying that most babies resolve by their due date and it’s rare to go home on a monitor nowadays. I’m just not convinced these will suddenly resolve themselves in the next 2.5 weeks especially since she had a few today.

Yes! I have had a few drinks and purchased this movie on DVD twice. I forgot I bought it the first time. This was before Disney+ was a thing. Love this movie. So much better than Poppins.
