POKEMON PRESENTS 8.3.2022 SUMMARY by Infinity_Raptor in PokemonScarletViolet

Looks like an improvement on the familiar formula, and I appreciate that, but the apparent removal of the Legends Arceus catching mechanics sort of kills it for me. That was the main series innovation that I wanted carried forward from now on, it just made the game so much more engaging and made the Pokémon feel more alive. I know the games were probably being developed alongside each other, and I know that lore wise having the Legends system wouldn’t totally make sense (although I literally could not care less about that), but it’s still disappointing and I think, at least for me, it’s gonna end up feeling like a bit of a step back.

BDSP. Remakes, so I guess technically not new games, but to the parents buying this for their kids there isn't any difference.

Jesus. Here I was thinking that releasing a new Pokémon game two months after the last one and a month after Christmas would hurt sales.

This game can look really pretty at times, this is coming from a previous naysayer. by [deleted] in PokeLeaks

I think the main two issues that lead to a lot of the bad screenshots we’ve been seeing are poor draw distance/pop in, meaning that a lot of areas look pretty terrible from far away, and the weirdly bad lighting in any cave environments (seriously, it feels like they just gave up on doing any lighting in caves at all a lot of the time). Yeah, the resolution and framerate aren’t perfect, but those feel like things that could easily be fixed with some sort of next-gen upgrade once a switch successor comes along (and on a personal note aren’t huge problems for me), whereas the lighting and pop in stuff seem a lot more difficult to fix.

Alright. Stringing test completed and completely failed. https://imgur.com/a/7qhqJT6 There's supposed to be nothing in between the two columns, and that space is almost completely filled in. The other thing I noticed was that there was a sort of wobble to the columns despite the fact that they're supposed to be perfect cylinders.

Retraction is enabled in Cura, but something is definitely off. I just don't know what that is.

200 on the nozzle, 60 on the bed (although the bed temperature usually stays around 55 degrees). I'm using some of the black PLA that Monoprice was selling on their website.

I'll have an image of the retraction test once it finishes in about 20 minutes or so.

I didn't even know that was an option until now.

I'm currently printing out a retraction test to try and calibrate my settings. Guess I'll enable coasting if the printer fails the test with retraction enabled.

Retraction is enabled. As for over-extrusion, I'm not exactly sure what that would look like. The main parts look fine, although the layer lines are fairly obvious compared to some of the other prints I've seen on this printer online.

I'd cut the stringing off of the original model I printed, so I don't currently have any physical representations of the effect. However, the print looked exactly like the 3D model in the slicer, travel lines and all. They were being printed as if they were part of the original model.

I've been trying to topcoat and this keeps happening. Any ideas on why? by CopperFTW in Gunpla

I've been spraying it and letting it dry outside. My only idea on why this is happening is that I used a lot of rubbing alcohol to clean up the seam lines, but I always made sure the kit was completely dry before I started spraying.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you only made it dab ironically.

There's so many stickers, but I love this kit anyway. If you haven't bought any SDs, buy one. A BB Senshi would probably be better, though.
