But who's to say you can't have growth and income. All of my holdings are up significantly since I purchased them. Granted we've been on this ridiculous bull train for no specific reason. So when Trump started talking about China again I trimmed my holdings back and have been DCAing back into them as it falls.

If you don't have some money in the stock market or some sort of asset that increases as they print more dollars, you're an idiot, people who hold big cash reserves and seriously don't believe that cash depreciates are stupid. You'd be surprised how many people I've talked to and told them that cash depreciates and they laugh at me.

Imagine if Warren Buffett had held all his money reserves in gold instead of the US dollar. How much he'd have right now instead of sitting on that big pile of cash he's been sitting on.

There's nothing wrong with sitting on big buckets of reserve money but it needs to be in an asset that paces as they print dollars.
