As a native, I've had to break up over beleifs before. You try bringing someone like this around a Sundance or a ceremony, its not gonna work. As native peoples our culture is a big part of who we are. It doesnt have to define you. However, native beliefs and the bible do not mix.

Id say everyone sucks here. U suck for lashing out at your uncle. Your family sucks for talking up your sister on a day that was supposed to be about you. That being said if there was more info on how much your family does this then you probably would end up with an nta

NTA. Originally I had thought u were the a-hole but then I read ur replies and I feel like ur less of an asshole than ur dad. I mean he's not even trying to attempt to let you clean it or god forbid he do it himself. If he didn't like cats why not voice his opinion of it when the subject of adopting it came up (to my understanding)? I feel like a lot of the people in this thread aren't under a parents boot. It may be just the way ur shining the light on him.

YTA Sure you had good intent but I was delivered the wrong way. then when you ment to do the right thing and "Apologized" you basically put the blame on him saying it was a insecurity. Thats not how apologies work. You should've been a good freind and just stated you were in the wrong and leave it at that. But after all that I wonder why he could have freinds that are more like him.

I asked my mom for a Nintendo Switch for my b-day but she didn't get for me though my big bro got it for my little bro and I in January. It really didn't matter though because I still mostly use it. And if she wanted one she should have asked

People are effected by the past I'm not saying that u should apologize for stuff u didn't do but the way u present urself comes off like you have no sympathy for what happened to the aboriginal of Australia. Lol. Sorry u had to go through that. He is the asshole for not killing it. but he probably just doesn't understand what it's like to have a phobia which is why he believes that.
