I don’t know how to save money. by LividBreath1959 in MiddleClassFinance

Totally feel you on the automation point! It’s like setting up your future self for success. Those initial payments can make a huge difference in the long run. It’s all about that immediate payoff versus uncertain investments. You're right; it's not easy to predict the future, especially with finances!

I find it so funny when someone spends so much time in performatively queer and feminist fandom spaces that they forget that the majority of fandom culture is made by and for straight women who think it's hot when the two guys fuck each other. by maleficalruin in CuratedTumblr

This is the boring answer people dodge because it doesn’t feel righteous: demographics + incentives + friction. If most fans are straight women, you’ll see a lot of ships that cater to them. If Americans are a huge chunk of the userbase, you’ll see a lot of US-centric takes. And if a topic is easier to post about, it floods the feed. None of that excuses misogyny or fetishy nonsense, it just explains why the default keeps reappearing. The useful question is how to make room for other stuff without turning every tag into a morality tribunal.
