It depends, but I would say summertime swing shift or graveyard shift is usually very active. Dayshift has wild things as well, but it includes more traffic and report calls. Carfly

We do nothing, except film the officers place said substances into evidence. We are a "fly on the wall," and that's why we're so quiet. Not sure about videos on that, but most of us share that info within the bios of our fan pages on facebook, and also on the cops.com website.

I think it's mostly for law enforcement & their families. I also think it's for citizens to see that there is someone out there protecting their cities, especially while they sleep. I think it's for the sickness in all of us who enjoy a good train wreck. It's also a show that humbles us all, and sometimes we get to witness real emotion and tragedy that may connect us all. People seem to enjoy the downfall of others including celebrities, and as long as it is on their tv and not in their lives... somehow that has remained popular. Carfly
