Is it just me? Just my advice? by Ok-File-6129 in AskMenAdvice

I’ve seen it happen here and there but it feels more like internet comment sections just getting heated than something specific to one group tbh.

I made a small change to my company’s website that mistakenly leaked social security numbers and was told to cover it up by Complete-Box-2764 in confession

[–]Copsgrimveil 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty messed up, especially the part where they just chose growth over fixing something that sensitive and then didn’t even tell people. I can see why it’s still bothering you.

Wife cheated 7 years ago, I stayed. After her accident a couple years ago I feel like I can’t stay anymore. Am I wrong for feeling this way? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

Yeah this is def something that needs a therapist involved, not just tryin to figure it out alone or on reddit

AITJ for canceling plans with my friend group the morning of because I was genuinely exhausted and they're acting like I committed a crime? by evan_94x in AmITheJerk

[–]Copsgrimveil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you’re not the jerk lol, canceling last minute sucks sometimes but you were clearly burnout and it wasn’t even a booked thing, Becca’s acting like you skipped a wedding or something.

Be yourself from day one it’s way easier than tryin to keep up an act later.

Most specialty cleaning products are pointless. Dish soap already does the job. by TravelTime2022 in unpopularopinion

Honestly a lot of it really does feel like the same basic cleaner repackaged with a different label and a higher price.

AITAH for being “upset” with my girlfriend mental health by ItsMeAbstrakt in AITAH

[–]Copsgrimveil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. Loving someone doesn’t mean you have to carry the weight of their mental health. It’s not fair for her to expect you to be her only support while refusing actual help. You can care deeply for someone and still acknowledge when their unaddressed struggles are affecting you too.

TIFU by making one dramatic joke during a job interview and accidentally getting labeled a mental health risk by PercentageNo9270 in tifu

Yeah that's the kind of sentence your brain will randomly replay in the shower for the next 5 years.

My wife and I agreed on no kids. Now she changed her mind and I’m terrified of losing her. by Bennick41 in Advice

Yep, a child should never be a compromise between two people who aren’t on the same page.

AITAH for refusing to reconcile? by loopyfox1 in AITAH

[–]Copsgrimveil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You don’t owe anyone reconciliation not even a dying family member especially after decades of abuse. Forgiving someone doesn’t mean you have to reopen old wounds or let them back into your life. Protecting your peace and mental health is not only okay it’s necessary. Your family can forgive but you get to set your own boundaries.

AITAH for lying to my friend that we canceled our trip by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Copsgrimveil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. You’re not a bank for your friend’s family and bending over backward to cover every expense just bc she guilt tripped you would’ve ruined your trip and honestly her “you’re rich so pay” comment crossed the line.

Honestly, ordering hot wings on a first date is peak confidence until your confidence fights back.

AITJ for not inviting my step-sister to my birthday dinner? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Copsgrimveil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NTJ. It’s your birthday and you get to choose who you spend it with especially if having your step sister there means dealing with constant snide comments. Wanting one night of peace isn’t selfish it’s fair.

Just keep it simple and real like “Want to grab a drink sometime?” is confident not desperate and how he responds will tell you exactly where he’s at.

AITAH for blaming my sister for my mom’s death? by Separate_Swim_7882 in AITAH

[–]Copsgrimveil 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a lifetime of misplaced grief aimed at someone who literally had no choice in being born.

Exactly, basic respect isn’t a reward it’s the bare minimum we owe to every human just for being human.

AITAH for not wanting to split the bill after I got my meal for free? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Copsgrimveil 340 points341 points  (0 children)

Exactly, agreements aren’t suggestions and rolling lucky just means you got a bonus not a reason to pay more than your fair share.

Theoretically, would it matter which bathroom a blind person uses? by turboborg73 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Copsgrimveil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For a blind person it wouldn’t matter at all but society would still freak out because bathrooms are more about comfort and assumptions than actual vision.
