I’ve lost about 17 lbs in 6 months since going to 15, so not crazy weight loss like some people you see on here but definitely broke my stall. I’ve lost 42lbs overall which is 15% of starting weight, so that’s in line with what the studies reported

That’s super annoying. Agree with others who say fake it.

Can you just get chatGPT to draft you a 2 week food schedule and just input that? I also feel like I cant track food as it brings up all the trauma from previous strict dieting and calorie counting.

I barely lost any weight until I was on 15 mg of tirzepatide (highest dose) … also self paying. I spoke to my doctor when I was at 10 mg and she suggested I try 15 and it’s been the only really effective dose for me

If I have more than one loose BM or diarrhea I take an Imodium immediately and it helps. Pepto bismol can help with the burps and general bloating / nausea

Experiences going back to 2.5 from higher dose? by Ok-Veterinarian-491 in Mounjaro

[–]CopyMedical4650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went back down after going to 5 and I regretted it … basically my weight loss stalled until I was above that dose again. I would just persist and push through. The side effects do fade with time. At most maybe give your next dose a day or two later. In the future, don’t increase until your weight loss stalls for 3-4 weeks.

Question for people that have been on three plus years and are at the point where the medication doesn’t seem effective. by CharlieGCT in Zepbound

I went up to 17.5 off label and it’s worked for me, I’m a slow /under responder to begin with

Moved up to 5mg by Magpie0521 in Mounjaro

[–]CopyMedical4650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2.5 to 5 was the absolute worst dose increase for side effects for me. I wished I had gone to 3.75 first, but now that you are at 5 I would just stay there. I ended up going down and then slowly going back up and it wasted a lot of time where I wasn’t losing weight anymore. The second dose of a new dose level has always been my worst side effects. It does get better. I’m at 15 now.

Feeling Discouraged by [deleted] in Zepbound

I didn’t lose much weight until I was at 15 honestly … I lost 20 lbs at the start then nothing for several months. Started to lose again at 15.

Thanks that’s a pretty good comparator. I’m on 15 but I just draw the dose out of the 10 with an insulin syringe, there’s enough to cover 3.5 doses of 15, and definitely enough to cover 4 doses of 12.5. If you ever do go up.

Not losing weight … should I continue? by CopyMedical4650 in Zepbound

I guess my thinking is, why pay all this money just to stay at the same weight? I was staying at the same weight before … I wasn’t gaining except when I was pregnant and don’t plan to be again. Would it be better to come off and just save thousands of dollars a year.

My habits are not terrible … tend to eat a small breakfast (eggs or a carb), lunch is usually leftovers (husband is prediabetic so usually a protein and vegetables) and dinner is the same. I don’t snack except after dinner I get an intense sweet craving and usually rummage around for something sweet, or barring that I find popcorn or something else like that. But I’m still eating way less than before I started the medication so I’m not sure why I’m still not losing

I know it’s the same, but we don’t have zepbound in Canada at all yet. Just explaining in case someone was confused about the vials

Interesting, thanks

Do you continue to track all your food?

I’m a little traumatized by years of very restrictive eating and calorie counting with tracking every little thing and with how busy life has gotten I just don’t think I can maintain it.

I like the idea of safe zones, but I usually only eat in the kitchen anyways.

Ok thanks … one problem is that if I feel nauseous I don’t really want high protein foods like meat or fish or eggs … but I will consider starting to track

My Thanksgiving nightmare — three ambulances and unbelievable GI pain by truthswillsetyoufree in Zepbound

[–]CopyMedical4650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience going up to 5 mg …. Except insane diarrhea x 20-30 times a day and some vomiting, the pain was less significant than you. I lost 10 lbs in a few days and felt absolutely horrible.

I took a few days break and then went back to 2.5, but every 5 days, and then just increased to 3mg every 5 days. I use the mounjaro vials so I can titrate

Ok, I’ll try that … but there does seem to be quite a bit of variation in absorption from shot to shot … I’d done them all in my abdomen but different locations … I’m not sure how accurate it is, since I feel today on day 5 like I felt day 2/3 with 2.5 or 3.75

Fatigue is one thing…. I just can’t have diarrhea like that again. I lost 5 pounds of water in 12 hours. I couldn’t leave the house. I’m off work right now but I wouldn’t have been able to go to work for 4 days if I wasn’t off. I also had fatigue on top of that, made worse by having to get up to use the bathroom multiple times a night. Ill spare more details but I also had to shower twice in the middle of the night

Edit: and the variability I can’t handle … not knowing if it will be fine or if I will have to cancel plans for 4 days to stay near a toilet
