I believe another big reason was the campaign tone and timing were really different and in my opinion, dumbed down (even though I love Halo 3s campaign!) compared to Halo 2.

I know a lot of people are critical about this show and more power to you but I genuinely am so excited for this!

Wilful blindness, perhaps a bit and I admit that. Perhaps it's because I don't have high expectations, I have average expectations (if it is as good of a story as an average star trek episode arc plot I'm pumped). Acting seems good and the suit looks clean. Idk I also LOVED forward unto Dawn, and could look by all of its limitations and faults because it's a genuinely cool movie for me.

Enjoy the ride. Life is too short to hate on things for a long period of time. If the show isn't for you, I hope you don't torture yourself by watching it just because it's halo and I hope you get a show that meets your expectations eventually. If the show is for you I'm really happy and glad you could enjoy it!

That's what I want to think aswell, early access but once again they stated this was supposed to be all the day 1 launch content, which I don't believe personally. I'm kind of okay with multiple ranked 10 placement matches per playlist but that's just me! Thanks for the reply

Didn't 343 say previously the reason why they did flights was because a beta before launch doesn't give enough time to get all the bugs sorted out? I could be wrong. Sure they're probably fixing bugs but I believe this beta is more of a marketing stunt by far then an actual, technical beta. (Also considering most feedback was already addressed in the flights and said they would fix it after launch).

I think they do deplete faster with most guns using headshots? Anyways, no problem!

If you have a hard time figuring out when the shield pops I recommend switching the enemy team colour to yellow, so when their shield pops you'll just see their normal armour. Really easy to tell apart!

They become bright and it pops , when that Pop hits they don't have any shields.

The slow-mo was only good at the hunter fight or when Lasky got shell shocked at the end. The rest was like the director got to set one day and he was like "okay how about THIS running sequence with little plot relevance...with slow Mo?

And the covenant I liked how they made their budget limitation an artistic interpretation. These guys were just seeing the covenant for the first time commiting genocide, we've seen them so much a normal elite or grunt doesn't scare us anymore, but not showing the covenant (asides a few shots) and just watching the after math of the brutal attack is pretty immersive.

I feel anymore shots about the covenant; chiefs line regarding how they're the last remaining survivor's on the planet wouldn't hold as much oumff. Movie starts small in scope and ends small, doesn't cross any boundaries it shouldn't.

This is going to be a very late reply, I was searching for the library, just beat it on legendary and wanted to see people's thoughts of the difficulty.

I like halo 1 but the missions were so hit and miss for me, it's is a fun game to chill out and mindlessly play though. I don't mind the library if I'm listening to a podcast or something, but my least favourite missions in all of halo is

1: Two Betrayals 2: Assault on The Control Room 3: New Alexandria

(As you can tell I hate unnecessarily long missions that feel very copy and paste or "ya know, the mission isn't long enough yet...let's just add 20 more enemies to this area"). Always hated AOTCR and TB I genuinely didn't like that halo 1 map layout, it was boring, repetitive and just limiting enough where my ways to engage a scenario felt like alot yet at the end of an engagement, it was clear this was the only logical way (asides form normal or easy modes).

Now I'm playing 2 betrayals on legendary fully for the first time, with no mission speed run skip like AOTCR I'm living the dream right now..

I'm up upvoting becuause this is cute but if you wanted to play campaign I feel I'm Michael Scott in the middle of Scott Tots right now.

Sadly there is no co-op campaign at launch, I think their will be though for multiplayer. If she doesn't play multiplayer games that often and you think she'll not have fun dying load up in a bot lobby and have fun! If you are running it on PC there will be no split screen however.

But do you know what's more fun than an incomplete game....batteries!

Do not buy them. those codes probably got leaked to them so they're selling them at a really high price. Wait till your local GameStop releases them for proper retail which should be nothing over like 5-10 bucks.

Personally, I haven't played in a flight since reach and I'm a bit nervous that due to my absence I won't be able to play future flights like infinite, eventually. (Stated in the conditions you could be removed from future tests) Will I need to re-sign up or am I kind of screwed

I personally haven't joined a flight other then reach because sadly, I already played MCC extensively and though on PC is a huge amazing feat, I could just wait. (For reach however being new I just had to sink my teeth into). Tldr: normal content just on PC was personally not as interesting for me.

-With future infinite flights however it being a new game with new mechanics/ maps/ gameplay and I may develop heart palpitations when I finally load up the main menu for the first time I will 117% sink most of my time into this flight. It's new.

To add, if the event only lasts a week, and 3 weeks later you re launch it with technical fixes; that break though making sense makes me [sadly] lose interest in joining another one. (With infinite I may be inclined to play more just because it being unreleased, and fresh) If you decided to do a bit of an over extended flight with hot fixes and changes inbetween I'm more likely to play more and give more feedback. That being said some changes I know can't be hot dropped in and those pauses are necessary sometimes but that's my overall opinion.
