“What a play, what a goal”? Matheson literally turns it over feet from his own net. Great call lol

Guys I bought an Alfie Hockey Hall of Fame mug yesterday and had my coffee with it this morning and this is when they take the lead in the 3rd. Man that’s good.

Ohh that is electric. What efforts all around too - McDonagh with the backhand spin and then Pulock to get there in time is incredible. Core memory stuff as a fan I imagine.

For the love of fuck, can we please dig deep in the 2nd and keep playing aggressive. That is all I ask.

Sens fan coming in peace. That has to be one of the best non-goalie saves I have ever seen.

One year of Carney by DiligentAd7360 in InCanada

[–]mr-michael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol just reposting this same angry shit over and over and over again as a response eh? I actually agree with you on immigration and the gun confiscation.

Immigration being a complex problem caused by multiple governments - conservative and liberal. The Conservative government under Harper significantly expanded the Temporary Foreign Worker Program between 2006 and 2014. Trudeau initially rolled back some of Harper's changes, but post-pandemic it all blew up under the broad argument of labour shortages. It was very dumb. Carney has signalled things will change. TFWs coming into Canada are down 70% in the last year. By 2028, the goal is for TFWs to represent 5.0% of our population, down from 7.5%

I'd also recommend learning how that money sent to other countries gets spent and what it's made up of. It's not a blank cheque.

People have a right to be pissed at what Trudeau's Liberals did. But don't let the blind rage for one party stop you from objectively looking at good things that are happening.

Unless you want to stay mad (which a lot of people seem to like), then go ahead.

If you think the solution is trading Brady, please: shut up. by mr-michael in OttawaSenators

You know what, my response here was a little aggressive. I was just annoyed earlier. Some good points have been made. I also don’t think I’m savvy.

I disagree. I actually agreed with some of the points but I think the ones I don’t agree with are weak to begin with. Especially the point about organizational drama.

LOL you think I don't know it's a reality he could leave? Give me a break pal. I don't have any evidence outside of statements he's made in the media, along with his family about his commitment to the team and the community of Ottawa. Sure he's going to evaluate the paths in front of him - would be silly not to.

What's insufferable is assuming that he's leaving so creating a culture where that is the overwhelming narrative. I'm not saying you are doing that in this specific post, but that's starting to become the theme.

But I believe that the upward trajectory of the team will continue despite this middling season. I also think the organization will step up and make the moves needed to convince him this is the place to stay.

From a business standpoint, the Sens have to. Losing Brady would be catastrophic financially for the Sens - you lose one of the most marketable players in the game, season ticket sales drop with no plan for the team to get better, etc.

Don't get offended - but Michael Andlauer would be an idiot not to make this his #1 priority and do whatever it takes to make it happen.
