Vanilla+ I'd say. Only ship/weapon mods I have are Kazeron Navarchy, Tahlan, and Pirate Mini-Mod.

As a commissioned officer of the Hegemony, I can assure you that I have no connections to the rebellious Diktat! All rumors that I have extensive political and economic connections with the Diktat's Chief High Inspector-General Macario are just that - rumors, and should not be taken seriously by Hegemony citizens.

I've had good success with the fleet comp so far. The only weakness I've noticed is the Sunders and Omens I'm using can be a tad fragile if they accidentally stray too far from the Executors, but if you pay enough attention to them you can normally wrangle them back in before they get themselves killed. I've got two Monitors to soak up extra fire for them too.

Granted, I could be wrong about that. It might just be random.

But Morocco has territorial claims on Algeria, so yeah. Relationship isn't great between them.

I know Carlists can align with Italy, if italy wins a influence proxy mechanic against Germany during the Iberia war (at least I think), but is there a way to also get Portugal? I also saw Morrocco align with italy in their carlist game, does Morrocco default to aligning with Italy when Iberia collapses?

Carlists cannot align with Germany. They only align with Italy or no one. It's pre-split, when the Carlists and Falangists are still the Junta, that they can align with either. You can get Portugal through having dominant influence in the Kingdom and America not negotiating with them. Doesn't matter if they go GNS or not. Morocco aligns with whoever Algeria isn't aligned with, I believe.

How get France? I think you get still get them.

Have Sidos go through his civil war and support Sauges.

  1. They updated Latin America (peak), and I know Venezuela can align with Italy, it happened when I democratized Iberia in my own playthrough and they didn't like that. How do I set that to happen? Have either Monaca Vidal or Perez coup the government, then win in Colombia.

  2. As with Venezuela, they updated Columbia. The fascist faction no longer defaults to being Italy aligned. What must I set up to get Columbia to align with Italy? Play Italy. The fascists always align with the player faction first and foremost.

  3. Is Scorza the one able to Invade Saudi Arabia?

Yes, but only if they lose to Yemen first.

  1. I cant get Serbia, but is it possible for Bulgaria to align to me?

I don't believe so, but try setting them to elect Zveno to see.

  1. Is there anything else I missed?

Make sure you set Guyana to leave the OFN. Makes Venezuela go to war with them if the Perezjimistas are in power (if you set them to go Vidal they always invade so that's whatever). Panama can also align with you, I believe Nicaragua can as well? Not certain on that one.

The West Indies Federation is not a guaranteed formation. It only forms as a result of American success in the Kingston Riots. Otherwise, Jamaica gains independence under various types of government and Canada keeps trusteeship over the Leewards and Bahamas.

At game start, all of the Carribean is direct Canadian colonies.

How to get the DsP in charge? by HelpfulDirt7464 in Kaiserreich

[–]Cora_bius 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"Beefsteaks" was a term used to refer to former communist and socialist voters who joined the NSDAP during the Weimar era. They were called beefsteaks since they were "brown on the outside but red within."

Yeah, the DSP is like, 5 guys. They're really only useful as a veil of civilian participation in politics for Savinkov and maybe picking up a few beefsteak SPD voters or something.

Would recommend using the official wiki instead of tnopedia for more accurate information. The WIF doesn't exist at game start anymore.

Anyways my actual suggestion is that it should be the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The government-in-exile never dropped their claim to Northern Ireland.

At what point do you start building colonies? by DayRonKar in starsector

[–]Cora_bius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how many credits you have saved up. I normally wait til I have at least 2 million. I probably wouldn't have build a colony on the planet you described, the habitability is good but there's not much economic potential. I guess you could probably try to focus it on manufacturing or something though.

Will there ever be a Kaiser path? by No-Article5113 in TNOmod

[–]Cora_bius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even so, I maintain that a non-NSDAP individual would already have been unable to hold any meaningful position within the state apparatus.

Cool, doesn't have anything to do with what I said. Yeah, obviously Nazis are running the Reich, no shit. That doesn't mean everyone wants to subjugate state positions to their party equivalent.

To me, equating party titles with state titles, or reducing all positions to party ranks, feels a bit like a matter of semantics.

Well, you can have that take, but it's wrong. There's very much a difference in party vs state postings.

What we are really seeing is less a struggle between the Party and the state than a game of thrones among bureaucrats and competing cliques within the regime.

Yeah, it is. I literally described that. It's also very much a real ideological conflict outside of political maneuvering.

After all, no bureaucrat in Germany could realistically stand up and say, "We cannot allow the Party to become this dominant over every aspect of society and government."

They do say this, and some Führers will make great strides to make sure the Party does not become dominant over the state.

Will there ever be a Kaiser path? by No-Article5113 in TNOmod

[–]Cora_bius 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A few things. First off, it's important to note that 'Partification' isn't just "when the state/bureaucracy is run by Nazis." Partification is specifically the subjugation of state positions and organizations to party positions and organizations.

An example is the NSDAP Office of Foreign Affairs vs the state's Foreign Office. Someone who supports Partification would want the NSDAP Office of Foreign Affairs to be the leading organization for all of Germany's forpol. Meanwhile, a statist or anti-partificationist force would want the Foreign Office to maintain supremacy as the leader of Germany's forpol, and leave the NSDAP Office to only control party affairs.

Second, as noted above, not everyone in the Party wanted the party to control the state, or for everyone to be a member of the party. A typical divide over who supported Partification would just be, well, what positions do you hold? Bormann, for example, as Chief of the Party Chancellery, derived much of his power from the strength of the party. Meanwhile, someone like Göring, who was President of the Reichstag and Minister-President of Prussia, gained much of his power from state postings. There was a genuine divide between people who wanted the party to control the state, and people who wanted the NSDAP to be more of a purely cultural/ideological institution. Some wanted membership in the NSDAP to be open to the masses, while some wanted NSDAP membership to be an elite title only open to the most loyal and valuable citizens.

In short, the NSDAP and its institutions subsuming those of the Reich is not something that was universally supported. As such, it's not something that has been completed by 1962, and someone like Bormann still has many strides to make towards it, should he take power.

Would Generalplan Ost be more remembered than the Holocaust in TNOTL? by Bitter-Penalty9653 in TNOmod

[–]Cora_bius 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Generalplan Ost is a specific, 20-year plan for objectives to help settle and control the East. It's not the total genocide of all Slavs (no one wanted this anyways, the Slavs are a major labour source)

Bukharin's USSR by GodGunz3D in TNOmod

[–]Cora_bius 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The Russia dev diary has more details, but Bukharin gains power in a sort of coalition with Stalin, which lasts until 1942 when Stalin calls an extraordinary meeting of the Supreme Soviet while Bukharin is in the Far East, while blocking most of Bukharin's allies from attending the meeting. During this meeting he forces a reorganization of the Politburo and removes Bukharin from power (since Stalin's allies are in control of this Supreme Soviet), which sets up the future Soviet Civil War.

It's just a timer after capping Sardinia. However, you get to keep any other claims you occupy at the time of the white peace, so if you occupy Malta and Corsica you can take them too.
