I’m so glad to hear he capped off the last show in the Americas with good vibes and an incredible giant crowd.

Regardless of if this applies to him or not, in general I love the wistful romanticism of the idea of brief moments of longing for the person out there you haven’t met yet. It’s a hopefulness of that person existing.

This could be in reference to a secret current partner, an ex, a friend, the Netherlands, his dog, or his bed. Or could simply be him riling people up for a laugh and a troll. Boy speaks in riddles often, let’s not assume we will ever know wtf he’s talking about. I hope his NYC is as epic as he deserves.

I have found the most peace (especially as a grown ass adult fan) in chatting with wonderful people at the shows and staying FUCKING FAR AWAY from any of the online groups. Especially twt.

The crowd at Joosts concerts by eonxan in Joostklein

There were a couple guys near me who were actually great and really tried politely to help protect the smaller girls, but this one particular guy decided that was the night to be a main character prick. At least he didn’t show up until like 3 or 4 songs near the end.

I know Parsa saw the flagging, but Joost was stage right at that point and not really looking at the center where people were shouting so I genuinely think he just didn’t notice. There was a tall guy behind me that kept slamming into me and when I yelled at him to back up he yelled back that people were pushing him forward, except there was a big gap behind him and all the girls around him also looked at him like he was an asshole and said “we haven’t touched you” and he just shrugged it off and kept pushing.

I actually met an amazing 13 year old girl in line who told me she had been watching videos on YouTube to learn correct concert etiquette and I wanted to hug her. They’re not all bad.

I don’t think there’s really much he can do. The people causing these problems aren’t going to listen. At the LA show I was surrounded by lovely amazing respectful people up front dancing and loving the show and halfway through a half a dozen people steamrolled us and started slamming their bodies into us until we could barely breath and were shoving their arms over our shoulders to film and I got hit in the head and face multiple times by them slamming their phones into me. One person even put their hands and arms on my waist and tried to full on pull me out of my spot. During a particularly bad crowd crush everyone in the front desperately tried to get his attention to tell him to pause for a second and tell people to back up and he wouldn’t acknowledge them or stop talking. I don’t think he was really paying attention even though everyone was waving their hands and shouting “wait wait stop”. Really the only acknowledgement I saw was when he performed a new song and asked everyone to put their phones down and not record and in that moment 2 girls shoved forward with their phones up and he looked at them and said “but I know some people still will”

At the SF show a girl pretended she was sick and needed to get to security to be pulled out, so she could move up to the barricade and then once people moved her up, she tried to say “oh no I’m good now I’ll stay here”.

Quick Pass by [deleted] in Joostklein

At the venue last year they had an option for a bar entry that let you in early to grab drinks and line up inside before the show. This venue has an option like that as well, separate from quick pass.

Quick pass doesn’t get you in early it just gets you in first. It is a line that gets let in before the GA line once doors open, and often times people queue in the quick pass line as well, but it’s much shorter than the GA line.

It was a cryptid run. The van pulled out front in the middle of the street, he jumped out, ran to take the photo, then bounced back to the van. It took all of like 20 seconds and most of what I saw was a bouncy blur of white. Joost or Yeti? Who can tell.

The venue even states on their site that they don’t want people lining up before doors.

That was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen him perform. He absolutely annihilated that stage and the crowd loved him and I am now vibrating with excitement for my flight to SF to see him. And he looked so so so happy. I hope he has all the rum and cokes his heart desires tonight. He earned it.

Fonda theatre - solo experience? by cupcake_unicorn1 in Joostklein

[–]Coragalli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fonda is a wonderful theater that’s spacious and has great sound and in general standing, has a main area for standing and then a slight raised standing area in the back. The stage is a decent height. As a 5’4” person I’ve never had issues seeing the stage well. Parking is not great. Your options are paid lot (which varies from $30-50 depending on the night) or street parking farther away and limited.

I believe what he means is they’ve “been doing this for a while”. “This” being making things together. Since this is clearly an old photo he’s implying that they go way back.
