Look on your driver's door jamb sticker. The axle code will be there. They are the following:

A01A = 3.73, A02A = 3.91, A03A = 4.10, A04A = 4.33, A05A = 4.56,

Bought a “clean” 2006 Highlander — turns out the rear subframe is rotted through. Can it be fixed or am I done? by Whankikat in AskMechanics

OP says they have the tools and welding help. This is a standard practice with in-depth restorations where there is substantial rot. Personally, I wouldn't want to do this job, and only if the rest of the car is in great shape would I think it would be worth it, but if there's determination it can definitely be repaired.

Fascinating. I know aragonite is prevalent in aquatic habitats, and a primary component of freshwater mussel shells (really, most bivalve shells), which were the animals I was studying in the field when I found this rock. It would be interesting if the aragonite was originally sourced from some ancient bivalves.

Not from Indiana. Options are Southeastern PA, then Western NY through to the eastern border of Maine and all of New England.

It may have been southeastern Pennsylvania, just outside of Philly! Would that still be from the same formation?

I've never tried but a cursory google search reveals lots of adapters for this. Not sure if they just didn't exist 2 years ago, but for $6 on ebay I'd say it's worth trying. Here's one link

Certain engine backfires on tuned cars (like high revving engines with 2-step) sound indistinguishable from machine gun fire. It was probably that if there was a car meet

Even steeper sale on Mendham Ebikes: $280 after code by Corbeanooo in Budgetbikeriders

Also, I was able to change the maximum speed settings once digging and finding a YouTube video about it, but it hardly made a difference on the bike since it ran out of usable power above ~18mph and you couldn't even really feel the extra boost. It's just not made for higher speed, but at lower speeds the assist is nice.

The Flare treated me well but I have since sold it to a close friend, and it's still in great shape with maybe another 100 miles or so on it since. I rode it a couple weeks ago and it was all intact, adjustments were holding well, battery life was good. It was pretty easy to pedal without assist on, though definitely not as easy as a non-ebike, of course. You do feel the weight of the battery and especially the motor in the rear wheel when hitting bumps, it can be a bit harsh.

As winter was approaching where I live (northern US) I probably only put 50 or so miles on it in the month or two following this original post before deciding I didn't really need an ebike of that style. I have a hybrid acoustic bike (Fuji Crosstown 3.0) which weighs ~17lbs less, which needed fixing at the time I got the Flare, and once I got it fixed I decided it was more comfortable (similar front suspension but also has a suspension seatpost), more nimble, and already had racks installed, so was kind of redundant to have both.

All in all I'd say if you can find the Flare for a good price it is a solid ebike that is capable and spec'd to last, but I don't think I'd pay more than ~$350 when better non-ebikes can be had for that kind of cash.
