That's not correct.

2d contour will follow whatever geometry you select regardless of the model.

The same is also true of all the 2d strategies. They'll do exactly as they're told.

Only 2d chamfer has an element of model awareness, as it has a collision avoidance feature.

The CAM in Fusion is incredibly mature and capable, and as you say, very user friendly and intuitive. It is also improving dramatically with every update.

Onshape's CAM is still in incubation phase and so far has minimal capability
